emocratic candidate Mark Kelly is leading Republican Sen. Martha McSally among Arizona voters, according to a new poll.
Kelly, a former astronaut and U.S. Navy captain, has a 4-point lead over the incumbent Republican, according to a poll by the left-leaning Public Policy Polling.
The survey found that 46 percent of polled voters said they would vote for Kelly and 42 percent said they would vote for McSally. An additional 12 percent said they were not sure.
Kelly is married to former Rep. Gabby Giffords (D-Ariz.), who has been a prominent gun control advocate since retiring from Congress after surviving an assassination attempt in 2012.

She lost once, not sure why they out her in when the voters already said no thank you.
It’s only been in the last week that I have seen her on television. She’s pretty much invisible here in Phoenix.
Honestly, I’m surprised her opponent only has a 4 point lead.
“Polled voters” (not likely voters) and a left-leaning PPP poll is thoroughly unreliable combination designed to produce a Democrat-leaning result.
I expected her to be much for their behind than 4 points. Four is easily overcome with help from Trump.
Doesn’t matter. Arizona was taken over by ballot harvesting, and unless something is done about that, nothing will change.
This jerk will win, and he will be insufferable.
Is that the seat that’s up in 2022? If so the Gov. is very smart. She loses and he’s term limited so he goes for it. I doubt he’d fight.
McSally needs to be primaried. A sure loser again.
I agree. The one chance she may have is Trump dragging her over the line... him being on the ballot completely changes the elecotrate and turnout vs special and/or midterms.
However I agree, she lost, appointing her doesn’t set for a strong run.
I can’t find a detailed methodology for the poll.

If conservatives want her primaried, they’d better find and run their own candidate. The state party is uniparty.
If Trump campaigns for her, she will win.
And Arizona is full of military retiree morons who claim to be conservatives, but will get dazzled by Kelly because he was an astronaut. Morons.
Rather than embrace MAGA, the GOP plan will be for her to run to the left of Kelly while denouncing Trump at the same time. The party of losers strikes again!!

Exactly right even though McSally has an impressive service record of her own. I think she's at least half RINO but she's still better than the gun-grabbing sack of human feces Kelly is.
I’m not much of a McSally fan.
I find it telling though that the article goes through Kelly’s bio in a fluff piece and somehow forgets to mention that McSally is a former Colonel and combat pilot.
They have Dr. Kelli Ward.
