A video has surfaced of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad laughing about President Trump during Putin's visit to Damascus last week.
The video, originally posted by a journalist for the Komsomolskaya Pravda, comes just over a month after multiple NATO nation leaders, including Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and French President Emmanuel Macron, were recorded seemingly mocking the American president at a NATO summit. In the latest clip, Assad and Putin joked that Trump should follow in the footsteps of Paul the Apostle and visit the Syrian capital of Damascus.
"If Trump arrives along this road [to Damascus], everything will become normal with him too," Assad said, according to a translation of the conversation posted by Axios.

That isn’t actually a joke, or funny, nor is is “making fun” of Trump. It was just a reference to a bible story, and I have no doubt that Putin and Assad find the bible “funny”.
I agree, and I do it see it as a particularly hostile mindset. It’s more of a light hearted possible outcome type lark.
I think it’s rather funny.
In this day and age the Left is totally disconnected from humor.

And yet the media and the democrats (excuse the redundancy) will continue to claim that Trump is a puppet of Putin.

Trymp already had a “Damascus” experience and it’s why he is Republican and president, not global government pushing folls like the rest of them.
Boy I loved that he went at ISIS while we waited for a real president to destroy them. It’s great that he knows that Christianity is the only chance his country has, though I don’t believe he believes any of it. And it seems he’s becomes more of a nationalist than a communist.
But he didn’t go after ISIS for us, he’s just using Christianity because it’s all that can save Russia at this point and he’s still ex KGB.
He doesn’t mind having opponents in politics or media killed, and I believe there’s some of that KGB blood in him, maybe more than some.
I respect him, I don’t TRUST him and I would verify EVERYTHING with him.
I also wouldn’t go to Russia and be a dissident :)
That beings said, this sounds like a relatively harmless joke. People are reacting here so crazy that maybe they didn’t read it.

I hope that rotten little twerp Justin Trudeau is one of the first to feel justice on this earthly plane. Closely followed by Leftist News Media People and Dems in US. What happens to all of them in the world beyond is entirely up to God, not us.
All of us including President Trump turned the other cheek and reached out to our enemies , tried to love them, meet them halfway and tried the gentle path. Most of us spent time in prayer.
We work within the framework of laws, such as they are as to enforcement problems.
We did not try a coup or impeachment against Obama or put Hillary and Bill in prison. Or stop highway traffic with demonstrations.
Assad and Putin need a short rope and a tall tree.

I don’t take this as an insult. All of us get a kick out of Trump. The idea of Trump walking the road to Damascus is too funny.
The funny thing for my, and the most ironic, is that Trump was a devout non-globalist, but because of his leadership and vision, he stands the best chance of any leader since probably John kennedy to kindle the global spirit of freedom.
There are more young people in places like Iran, N Kor, Taiwan, Hong Kong than you might think.
These young people are getting a taste of the West and they like it.
Amazing, and the fact that Trump unlike Bush, Obama, Clinton etc backed off cowardly, is unreal.
Would any American politician be seen at a Christian Cathedral in Syria? A few maybe, but most? NO WAY
Contrast Putin’s visit with most Western politicians visiting the Arab world - who put on the hijab, bow, grovel and/or utter bullshit PC platitudes about Islam.
I was in Russia quite often in the 90s and everywhere bill Clinton toys were for sale. Esp Matrushka dolls. With all of his women as the inner dolls.
In movies, all you hear is the punchline and then everyone laughs. I think it was along those lines.
