Devil's advocate: the trends of warming show that the effects of global warming and climate change are continuing beyond year-to-year fluctuations in temperature and weather. To the extent that it is true, and it is news ... then what's up with the scaremongering of past 20 years? maybe someone happened to be correct after all, but it was speculation!
