The case was dropped but there was a settlement. So who knows if it was rape, buyer’s remorse or simple gold digging.
If it wasn’t worth fighting in court then, there isn’t much point in sullying the guy’s reputation now. It only hurts his family.

For me, this is a he said, she said and nothing more. A dime a dozen and false rape claims are quite common and frequently wealthy folks get taken to the cleaners because, you know, they have money.

personally, i don’t think so, and never did ... i live in colorado and when the news broke that some mountain hotel maid in colorado was claiming rape, i didn’t even know who kobe bryant was ... but when i realized he was a famous basketball player and i listened to her story, i concluded even then that she was a low-life hotel maid that was simply trying to extort some bucks from a rich and famous guy ...
There is a lot of money to be made by accusing a rich man of rape.

Apparently, he was not, in an objective sense, but came to recognize that the victim sincerely thought that she had been subjected to physical menace that voided her consent.
I sure hope when all of your times come to meet your maker, and I hope that’s way off in the future, that everyone, including all of your exes, in your past that you’ve wronged, lied to, spoken ill of, speak out publicly to your grieving family and friends and expose the “real you” because it’s their free speech right and your family and friends, including children, just need to “deal with it.”

Accusations are one thing. Proving them is another and often very hard to impossible, esp. with the passage of time.
Just look at those accused: Pres. Clinton; Harvey Weinstein; Jeffrey Epstein; Kobe Bryant; lots of football players; other politicians, show hosts/news people, etc.
Sometimes the truth will “not out” in a court of law, and justice will be denied, but that is the way our judicial system works (though the Democrats have now eliminated the requirement for “proof beyond a reasonable doubt”, or “any proof at all” in the case of Justice Kavanaugh, Justice Clarence Thomas, Judge Robert Bork, and President Trump”.
Hearsay, innuendo, lies and disinformation are not supposed to be allowed in a court proceeding, or even a congressional hearing, but the Democrats have made that requirement moot for them and their lying toadies and traitors.

Ask yourself this, why would a rich, handsome man like Kobe Bryant have to rape anyone. He had tons of beautiful and willing females throwing themselves at him. I never believed his accuser.
I think she had sex with him and then regretted it. I think that happens a lot, but that is not rape.
