Delta Airlines and American Airlines will suspend all flights from the United States to China, the carriers said on Jan. 31.
All flights will be suspended “beginning Feb. 6 through April 30 due to ongoing concerns related to the coronavirus,” Delta said in a statement.
“Between now and Feb. 5, Delta will continue to operate flights to ensure customers looking to exit China have options to do so,” the Atlanta-based airline added.
The last China-bound flight departing the United States will leave on Feb. 3. The last return flight to the United States from China will leave on Feb. 5.
Customers who have trips that will be affected can visit the Delta website and go to the “My Trips” section. When there, they can request a refund or switch to flights that leave after April 30. They can also contact Delta to explore additional options

Um, doesn’t that kind defeat the purpose of suspending flights???
Get ready for plane loads of folks from China looking for their last ticket out of Dodge.
This is a perfect example of closing the barn door after the horses already escaped.
I understand people wanting to GTFO. But they ALL have to be quarantined for at least 2 weeks. Sorry, no one forced them to China at gunpoint, they made their choice.
Indeed the world already has 100+ cases outside China. All this would do is diminish numbers somewhat.
I’m sure there are MANY more than 100. Remember 5 million people left Wuhan before quarantine. Incubation can be 14 days, maybe even more. Many folks with it are asymptomatic and infecting others, as they are seeing in Japan and Germany. We won’t know the real numbers until next week.
But this sure doesn’t help. Delta currently operates 42 weekly flights between the U.S. and China, including daily service connecting Beijing and Detroit and Seattle, and Shanghai and Atlanta, Detroit, Los Angeles and Seattle”
42 x 250 seats = 10,500 passengers next week
If this turns into an outbreak here, ICU beds will be full of Chicoms.
