First he finger pokes what he apparently thinks is an "uppity" black man in the chest... Now he gets on his knees to one of the KKK's most famous leaders...

Having risen to the rank of Exalted Cyclops of the KKK, Byrd’s fellow Democrats now point fingers at Republicans, trying to paint a false KKK connection. Never has one existed except in the fingers of Democrats, who formed the KKK, and before that supported black slavery. It was Republicans who freed the slaves and started the Civil Rights movement. It was Democrats who opposed both.
As far as I know, he Left the KKK far in his distant past. Whether any prejudices lingered, I really don't know.
The problem for me is that when Republicans run for office, they are tared and feathered with any detail that can be dug up.
Roy Moore, a man in his 60s was taken to task for his dating habits decades before. He was trashed for being removed from the Chief Justice of his state's Supreme Court twice.
Never mind that that he was removed for refusing to remove the Ten Commandments from a courthouse building, or refused to consent to processing same sex marriages in his state.
Boy, if you had a hang nail in the 70s 80s or 90s, you goose was cooked if you ran for office. The demoncRats would find out, and your career was over.
Add to this atmospphere, the fact that the demoncRats call us racists and palls with the KKK to this day.
Who was palls with the KKK? Why they were.
Does anyone think a Republican would be forgiven if he had been a simple Klan member years ago? What if he was a chapter leader of the KKK in the South? Does anyone believe a Republican would be forgiven for being a recruiter for the Klan?
Byrd bought into that sickening ideology so much so, that he was on fire to sell it to others.
The man served as a demoncRat U. S. Senator until he died in 2010.
IF there's a bigger hypocrite on the planet other than a demoncRat, I have no idea how they could possibly pull it off.

My first thought after reading this was, if Biden becomes their nominee this quote should be prominently displayed in a Nationwide ad along with pics of Biden and Byrd together. Both smiling and glad handing.
Then, it immediately occurred to me that the Networks would very/most likely refuse to air any such ad.
How do I know this is the case? Because even Fox has refused to air a Prolife ad during the Super Bowl.
A Prolife group had been trying to get an ad placed during the SB for nearly 7 months now. And, they were refused. Repeatedly.
However, Fox will air ads featuring Drag Queens, LGBTQ+,
etc...during the SB.

It is quite ASTOUNDING how the Dem party has been able to switch the racist label onto Republicans I wonder how in the HELL this exactly happened!! KKK all Dems, Abraham Lincoln freed the slaves YET somehow the Dem party has been able to label the Republicans as the racists!!
What I find strange are all of those people who come, ostensibly claiming to be conservatives and yet carry the torch for the Confederacy who were almost entirely Democrats.
His closest friend, Fritiz Hollings placed the Confederate Flag on a state house!
Biden stated that Hollings is the man “who is more responsible for my standing at this podium as vice president of the united states than any man alive.”
