Sen. Mitt Romney, R-Utah, told Fox News' Chris Wallace Wednesday in an exclusive interview that he "had to follow my conscience" in deciding to vote to convict President Trump on abuse of power, a decision that's likely to lead to serious blowback from Trump and others in the Republican Party.
"I believe that the act he took, an effort to corrupt an election is as destructive an attack on the oath of office and our Constitution as I can imagine," Romney said. "It is a high crime and misdemeanor within the meaning of the Constitution, and that is not a decision I take lightly. It is the last decision I want to take."

Manchin says Romney’s statement was “very powerful” and says we’ll know soon how he’s voting but he won’t give any hints.
One of Romney’s issues was that had “Biden not been Biden”, Trump would have never asked for an investigation. Well, I am damn glad he did go after Biden, what we don’t need is another corrupt politician sitting in the Oval Office, spending our money, setting their loser kids up in cushy positions. Certainly the US media wouldn’t investigate this corruption so thank you President Trump for once again saving our country.

If he wants to enhance his resume, he could also run as an Independent or Libertarian later and lose them also.

If any of you honestly believe that the Democrats would nominate Mitt Romney, or that any substantial number of Dems would vote for him, then you may as well move to Colorado where at least your recreational pastime is legal.
What conscience? It is one of a long list of things that Romney lacks.
