This is where you lost me. Not even the anti-Trump snark did it, quite. But to say it's time to stop praying? As in "pray without ceasing"? Stop that? I thought you were a Christian.
To say it's time "to suspend this annual event . . ." means that it's not a supernatural act to you. It's a window-dressing political event. Sorry it didn't live up to your standards, and probably not mine, either. But praying means asking God to take care of it--because we can't. It's not about setting the table and waiting for everyone else to play nicely.
It's dropping our pride and our worldliness and calling on Someone greater, even, than our own pomposity, Cal.

Yeah, Right!You can’t reconcile or co exist with today’s Democrat. I still remember when they booed the mention of the name of God three times in succession at their National Convention in 2012. Kissing up to a Democrat has the same end result of kissing a Cobra. You bitten and dead. Anytime a Democrat or reporter pats you on the back or hugs you, they are feeling for a soft spot to stick the knife. By now, with as many Republican and Democrat knives he has sticking in his back, President Trump is fully aware of this.

Cal Thomas, where do I start? He’s a never Trumper so he has no business what so ever opining about how to treat anyone. These fools get so blinded by hatred they can’t see themselves in the mirror and they think the mirror is broken.
Cal has no idea what the totality of the Bible teaches which is clearly seen in two distinct places in his diatribe against the President.
Of course taking scripture out of context is what those from outside Christianity always do when trying to use it against Christians.

Nasty Nancy cannot be a Christian, according the the Bible, when you examine the rotten fruit which all her actions produce and are based around. She worships Moloch (a “god” to whom babies are sacrificed).
