Meet The Woman Challenging Nancy Pelosi Who May Just Take Her Seat

Running and beating Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi of California may seem like an impossible task, a David versus Goliath mission. But the GOP sports a 34 year old entrepreneur that has the right stuff for the job.

DeAnna Lorraine was born and raised in California and went to Cal State at Chico, where she studied marketing and organizational communications.

For the last ten years she has owned her own personal counseling firm and has had a thorough private sector education in the free market and the challenges facing small businesses everywhere. Her particular job has also given her a unique perspective on the current status of the American family. That’s why her first priority is making sure government does all it can, within common sense limits, to “restore the family unit.”

Lorraine comments, “Even though I’m running as a Republican, so many of the issues we are dealing with cross political lines and affect all Americans – like rising homelessness, broken families, and fatherless homes. Our country is in a crisis of broken families and fatherless homes right now and we need to restore these crucial elements, because strong families create a strong America.”

“Pelosi has been at the head of disastrous federal policies that have done a great deal to result in the continuing destruction of the city of San Francisco….Her priorities are all wrong. While we here in the 12th district deal with the problems of homelessness and broken families that are a product of her failed policies, she focuses on a doomed impeachment. In fact, last year her office sent out 380 press releases. Not one dealt with the ongoing economic crises here in her own backyard.”

Lorraine comments that, “Pelosi has engaged in a downright betrayal of Americans and the Constitution.” The challenger also says that stopping the scourge of illegal immigration is one of her top tasks, noting that “violent illegal immigrants have taken lives in this state and are a tremendous burden on the taxpayers of California. We’ve got to do better in protecting our families from this problem.”

Those who discount Lorraine’s chances, taking into account her climb is certainly uphill, forget Agincourt, the Battle of Britain, and Valley Forge.

Agincourt, the Battle of Britain, and Valley Forge.

Monumentally wrong historical analogy. Both sides in those battles shared common values and adhered to the same natural principles. Not so in this case.

No way Deanna can win the San Francisco seat unless she comes out in favor of pooping on the sidewalks.

That would be all well and good...in a normal American congressional district.

Not quite shared values. The one value that was in dispute is the most important value of all and the reason people were willing to die for it. The other common values matter not a wit.

Will we live as a free people or will submit ourselves to being ruled by men. Lex Rex and not Rex Lex.

I think that the time may be right for a political shift in California, especially in San Francisco (and Los Angeles and many other areas), which has become a complete disaster in the last several years as we all know.

And now there are hundreds of thousands of contract workers who are really pissed off at the California government for putting them out of business with that incredibly intrusive and stupid law that basically forces everybody to be W-2 employees instead of 1099 independent contractors.

I'm hoping that in the election season Trump makes several appearances in California. This isn't 2016 when there was no point in doing so. I think that California is now of a revolutionary mindset to throw the current crop of corrupt bums out of office.

I could be wrong, but I do think this upcoming 2020 election could be a great and unique opportunity to upset the California applecart. If they ever needed a disruptor, it's now. And Trump is the giant of all disruptors.

Very long shot, but one never knows what will happen come election time. I’ve met and spoken with her at a GOP event, I think her head is in the right place but she’s not the brightest bulb in a box of one.

Sadly that district is not going to flip to the GOP anytime soon..

CA is on its way to a big collapse, but it isn’t there yet, until it does don’t expect things to change there.

Tom Foley would be a better example. RAT rule of the House got tossed thanks to the Contract With America. Tom Foley, the Speaker of the House at the time, also lost his own election as well.

I don’t think she’s guilty but I’d have to see her in my private chamber to be sure.

If she could win the SF district, Trump could landslide California.

Could is a great word.

I saw her interviewed. I thought she was great. Hard to imagine a better opponent against Pelosi, but a conservative trying to win SF is a daunting challenge.

On the other hand, if there’s ever a time when Pelosi is vulnerable, this might be it.

Nancy Pelosi's 12th Congressional District is entirely within San Francisco. Marin County is represented by Doris Matsui, who is just as bad.

Believe it or not, Richard Nixon is one of Nancy Pelosi's predecessors. He represented the 12th district way back when it was in Southern California.
