I strongly disapprove with Gov. Blagojevich and ex-NY police commissioner Kerik. Corruption in office and vote fraud fully merit long prison sentences. Lock them back up, and throw Hillary and Biden behind bars too.

Kerik served his sentence already. He was released in 2013.

Blogo is closing in on 7 years of prison time.

That’s nothing to sneeze at.

I suspect he got the point.

I agree, in principle. However, Blago was the one who tried to sell Obama's senate seat, without Obama's permission, and Obama hung him out to dry.

You don't suppose, just maybe, now that The Boss is out from under this impeachment nonsense, that Blago might have been willing to roll over, for a pardon? You don't become Illinois guv without knowing where a lot of bodies are buried.

The feds learned how to bust the Mob, by finding wiseguys with their goolies in a vise, and told them they would stop turning the handle, if. Why shouldn't it work for Deep Swampers?

I'm just spit-balling, here, but...

Kerik, who oversaw the NYPD during the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, pleaded guilty in 2009 to charges of felony tax fraud and lying to the government. He was released from federal prison in 2013

He Did his time...

Trump commuted the remainder of Blagojevich’s 14-year prison term. the Illinois Democrat had begun serving that sentence in 2013 after he was found guilty of attempting to trade the U.S. Senate seat vacated by Barack Obama for money or favors.

He had a few years left but he only attempted to trade for favors, Trumps choice not yours

Reading is your friend, and Pardons are given as a Presidential role in the Constitution to be used at his discretion

He served 8 years in prison and I personally think that’s appropriate.

Compare that to what others serve for violent crimes and it appears relatively steep actually.

In non violent crime trials, Prosecutors and Judges as a group are imo bigger violators of the constitution than those that they try and incarcerate.

Things need to be scaled down, ie , a 9 year sentence down to 9 month sentence.
