Imagine you’re trying to count every single person living in the United States. There are two main ways that you can mess up; you can count some people twice and you can miss some people out.
In 2010, the Census Bureau made both mistakes, as it always does, because counting people is hard. It double-counted about 3% of people and omitted another 3% and, because those mistakes work in opposite directions, the overall population count was almost perfectly accurate.
What’s revealing though is who gets counted twice and who gets left out altogether. That’s where race has historically played a big role in government numbers.
The mammoth task of conducting the 2020 US census is already under way, but last time 9% of black people in the US were simply missed, a rate that was higher than any other racial or ethnic group.

When, again, is that color-blind society supposed to emerge? I’ve been waiting for it since the 60’s.

I get very sick of all this ‘person of colour’ Schiff! My skin colour is pale pink, so I am ‘a person of pale pink colour’. I’ve yet to meet someone who is a ‘person NOT of colour’. Would that ‘person NOT of colour’ then be ‘the Invisible Man’? I do recall a series movies and then a TV series in the 1970s(?) about ‘The Invisible Man’. I guess that he was ‘a person not of colour’. I have yet to meet someone of no colour.

Counting Iowa caucus votes appears to be hard too.
Go to the post office on the evening of the day the census forms are in the mail. Look in the trash cans. They will be full of discarded census forms and junk mail.
Animals of color?
The solution is simple. Just add 10 to 15% to the count. Or more. Whatever prevents them from rioting.
Is it because they are here illegally?
