“School policy forbids kids from saying ‘no’ when asked to dance”
well, that’s easy to rectify: just say F-off ... and if that doesn’t work, then stand still on the dance floor refusing to move your feet or “accidentally” step on the feet of your partner ...
Sad, but true.
And my daily ear-worm has now been dispensed. Ha.
In my middle school, if we didn’t want to dance with someone or we were tired, we could ask the individual if they cared to sit this dance out with out with us. That should eliminate any hurt feelings.
Or they could follow this great example from The Court Jester.

To the boy: No.
To Principal Kippy: Buzz off.
It is society enforced already. You are not allowed to say no to sex no matter who is asking.
At first it was just women, if they were not promiscuous then they were "surrendering to the patriarchy". Then it was they had to have sex with any woman who asked too or else they were, you guessed it, "surrendering to the patriarchy".
Now it is the guys turn. If they turn down sex with a guy, they are homophobes, with a woman, they must be gay, with a transsexual, trans-phobia.
It went from my body, my choice to my body, everyone's playground.
Oh and you can not limit the kind of sex you want to have either.

That clip from “The Court Jester” was wonderful.
Yeah, I don’t know. At this same school, the entire theater department (students) came out as gay one day. How trendy!
That “Be a Lady” video was... odd.
It is one of my favorite movies. Family friendly too.
> Hard to believe Kevin Bacon is 61 now.
My cousin has a friend whose brother was an extra in a movie, and the star of that movie worked with Kevin Bacon.
