Ever since a former reality television star captured the Republican presidential nomination and then the White House, American politics has taken on a stranger-than-fiction quality. The usual expectations that were built on generations of punditry and prognostication often no longer hold, and nowhere has this been more apparent than by where the Democratic presidential primary stands in the wake of Super Tuesday. Joe Bidens campaign roared back to life after it should have been long dead following stinging losses in Iowa, New Hampshire and Nevada in fact, it had already been buried by much of the pundit class.
Over the course of 72 hours, a political revival that would have made Lazarus proud unfolded before us: Biden crushed his competitors in South Carolina, and the partys relative moderates coalesced around him in short order.
I would like to think that Democrats would never have embraced the type of candidate that the Republicans did in 2016, but what we see now is that no one candidate is going to stand in the way of whats best for the party and more importantly, best for the country. At the very least, watching the transformation of the the Republican Party over the last four years has shown Democrats exactly what not to do.
As a result, heres what we saw: The top finisher in Iowa, the candidate with the strongest record of winning with the swing voters needed to prevail in November and the candidate with by far the most money all suspended their campaigns with a singular goal of defeating Trump. The Democrats of 2020 are nothing like the Republicans of 2016. Thank goodness for that.

Actually it shows that the Democratic party orders their voters to do something and they behave.
The GOP orders their voters to do something and they disobey.
It shows that Trump was liked by the voters.

.. .and the Republicans won anyways in 2016. Hey Aaron would you say that the Republicans have their act together in 2020?
Celebrating the Derp State as embodied by Biden and the scum of the DNC.
let them keep believing this and going down this path...
ROFL. Act together or not, WE WON.
So it shows the D’s are just not into females and people of color.
BHO was a novelty but it’s time to whip their serfs back onto the plantation
Biden is totally unelectable. But, the media will pretend he is leading, has it together. But when he loses, they’ll pile on the next day about the failed candidate...
Most people have yet to see the pictures of creepy joe with the bikers, or the groping of women and children. That is so totally revolting...there will be endless commercials about that. He’s also not Lucid, he clearly is suffering from Alzheimers. Furthermore, he is not going to be embraced by the Bernie Sanders crowd. He’s far less electable than Bob Dole was in 96.
“Have their act together” is right. Especially the part about it being an act.
Seriously: Is this from the Babylon Bee??
And thank God we didn't!
The 2016 Democrat primary reminds me of the 2008 GOP primary where the washed up McCain was swept to the nomination in March after having been out of money and flying coach carrying his own bags in June of 2005.
June 2007
Funniest thing I’ve read all day.
Nothing But Crap (NBC) trying to crate some news for themselves. Another fail.
A lot of things are going to happen between now and November. And the Bernie Bros are not going to quietly fold into the Democrat Party.
