The most important vice president we will ever choose

If Donald Trump wins, then Michael Richard Pence, vice president of the United States, will be well positioned to serve Trump's third and fourth terms as president. Pence is only just now beginning to emerge from relative obscurity on the national stage, therefore many voters do not recognize him as the proto-Trump he is. If you like Trump but find him abrasive and overstated, you will love Pence, even if you learn his name only in the 2024 campaign. He is, if anything, to the right of Trump, but understatedly so, and a likely future POTUS.

The more interesting outcome (in terms of the ancient curse of living in interesting times) will occur if the Democrats succeed in their bi-annual practice of voter fraud and select either Joe Biden or Bernie Sanders, each of whom is an old codger with one foot (or at least a toe) in the grave. Either of them, if elected, could plausibly be a less-than-one-term president. In Biden's case, the 25th Amendment might actually come into play, removing him from office, ostensibly or actually, for mental incapacity.

"IF" Trump wins? Well, it's not quite a lock butt. As far as the demodrone debacle, will pedo joe even make it to Milwaukee mentally? Looks less likely by the day. Butt, if he does, the demodrone vp pick could be the one to cause concern. Regardless of who it is, it would not bode well for our republic "IF" they were to succeed. VP Pence needs to be more visible during the 2nd term.

Pence is ok for VP, but I don’t trust him to carry on Trump’s MAGA/KAG legacy.

I’d rather see Pompeo, or Jim Jordan as POTUS 46.

“A less-than-one-year term.” Don’t forget the 20-year curse! Since 1840. Only Reagan and GWB survived it!

I’m always asking if Mike Pence is MAGA.

Can never get an answer. I think he is and that he’s learned a lot from Trump. We owe him a debt of gratitude. He took a big risk for his own career signing on with Trump when all the conventional wisdom said Trump would lose big time.

Pardon me. That’s “less-than-one-term.” Only Harrison had less than one year.

It really has to do with the Democrats dilemma. So who’s out there?

I have a lot of concerns about Pence’s electability.

He is frankly too nice. I doubt he could survive the type of media pummeling that Trump has endured (and mark my words, that’s exactly what he has coming).

Also the voting population in this country is increasingly becoming socially liberal. Will they accept a guy who is as straight-line traditional values as Pence? Sadly I’m afraid the answer will be no.

Biggest plus for Pence is his squeaky clean history. Dems will have a hard time digging up dirt on him.

I'd rather have a Christian Mike Pence as the 2024 nominee rather than a Chamber-of-Commerce, Globalist, cheap-labor-express stooge and Sikh - Nimrata Haley.

Reagan was nice.

Dems will have a hard time digging up dirt on him.

They don't need any actual dirt to manufacture it.

Not thrilled about Pence. He is another life long politician.
Even if he is a better example of one.

They’ll fabricate it, just like they did with Trump.

Biggest negative for Pence is his squeaky clean history. Dems will have an easy time making fun of him.

I expect that a decision on the 2020 VP candidate will be made after the DemonRat convention.

Pence is a nice guy and remember what Leo Durocher use to say about where nice guys finish.

I dare you to find one, just one, public statement by Mike Pence that has not acknowledged Trump’s leadership and agenda completely. He not only deserves to be President, he has earned it through his loyalty and support under extreme pressure when lesser men would have taken the easy way out and folded. Pence/Trump 2024!

To me the moment of truth for Pence was the Access Hollywood tape. I think if he had quit the campaign the damage would have been enough to prevent a Trump victory. He issued a statement saying he wasn’t thrilled with the language and content but took the apology of Trump and stuck with him and the campaign. I think Trump noted that level of loyalty and will stick with Pence in similar fashion when Pence is attacked and will keep him as VP for the rest of his term.
