Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib made the remarks during a hearing of the House of Representatives with members of the president's coronavirus task force, confirming earlier reports by US media outlets including Axios and NBC News.
"Congress's attending physician told the Senate that he expects between 70 to 150 million people to eventually contract the coronavirus in the United States," Tlaib said.

I think the number makes sense if public health recommendations are not followed. The more we follow public health recommendations, I think the numbers will be much lower and not put a huge strain on the health care system. It is unfortunate more was not done a few weeks ago to slow it down but it is what it is.

Tlaib would love for that many to die. She’s been pretty clear that her loyalties are not for America, but for ummah.
I picked Germany because they don't mess around, and their controls are likely on par with that in the US.
I doubt we crack 100,000 cases in the US, especially since we're all pretty much in lockdown for the next month or so...with nothing better to do but work remotely, eat, watch Netflix, or post on FR.
Because we have pretty good statistics from back tracing severe cases through the chain of people who are infected to an initial case, so we have pretty good numbers for totals infected vs severe infections, and we have a pretty good idea of the severe infections. So the numbers are not way off.
More testing would be good, but it will tell us less than you think it will tell us.
