I have no doubt that you suffer a severe case of this (or any respiratory infection) you could be left with reduced lung capacity, possibly for the rest of your life, and certainly in the short term.
However, a set of 12 patients is not big enough for you to remotely know what the percentages will be. And these are SEVERE cases not everyone who has been infected.

Wow again.... out of 80 thousand infected in an air polluted smokers hellhole they found some out of 12 checked that they had less lung function. Shocking.
What does fully recovered mean? Isn't obvious that if someone has substantially reduced lung function, he hasn't fully recovered.
A couple of years ago I had surgery on one of my lungs. When I was well enough to be released, I still had reduced lung function; and maybe I did for several weeks after that. (They gave me a plastic gizmo for exercise and self-testing.)

Pneumonia is what kills most of the CV19 victims, it may impact on this phenom, but this is not pneumonia-caused - at least not in most cases. Recovery from pneumonia is usally full.
