Sweeping new federal recommendations announced on Monday for Americans to sharply limit their activities appeared to draw on a dire scientific report warning that, without action by the government and individuals to slow the spread of coronavirus and suppress new cases, 2.2 million people in the United States could die.
To curb the epidemic, there would need to be drastic restrictions on work, school and social gatherings for periods of time until a vaccine was available, which could take 18 months, according to the report, compiled by British researchers. They cautioned that such steps carried enormous costs that could also affect people’s health, but concluded they were “the only viable strategy at the current time.”
The White House guidelines urged Americans to avoid gatherings of more than 10 people. That is a more restrictive stance than recommendations released on Sunday by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, which said that gatherings should be limited to 50.
The White House also recommended that Americans work from home, avoid unnecessary shopping trips and refrain from eating in restaurants. Some states and cities have already imposed stricter measures, including lockdowns and business closings. Different steps, intended to drive down transmission by isolating patients, quarantining those in contact with them and keeping the most vulnerable apart from others for three months, could cut the predicted death toll by half, the new report said.

But it is an accurate report of the recommendations given today by the CV Task Force.
I read it, I don’t know the publication and don’t take it as fact. But if this is true, Trump knows it. We would have an absolute right to know this information. Especially in light of what they are doing to us. So it must be BS, otherwise a Trump administration would tell us.

If you had watched the CV Task Force briefing given today you would have had that information. Rights are useless if you don't exercise them.
There would be nothing left of our economy after 18 months of being closed. No one will have jobs because there is no need for employees. Even all of the toilet paper that some have hoarded will have been used up.

This is totally out of line as far as I am concerned.
A ‘fantastic’ political weapon is by definition every bit as effective a tool of asymmetric warfare as any bioweapon; it’s the results not the death toll that defines success. A weapon that wounds or slowly destroys victims rather than killing them immediately is more effective in the long haul because it forces one’s opponents to allocate more resources and personnel to care of the sick and wounded than if it had simply killed targets. If this care is largely in vain as victims die weeks or months later, or fail to recover, then your attack is more effective psychologically as well.

You don’t have an absolute right to know, particularly if it would compromise other things - such as national security.
If this is a bioweapon or not, if it was released intentionally or not, there are a whole bunch of ducks that need to be lined up. Keeping you informed at all costs would be damaging to what ever consequences China has coming for this.
Personally, I’m in the accidental release of an illegal bioweapon camp, but I certainly don’t know it for a fact.
