Think about what you said. Think it all the way through. Maybe its -you- that is wrong.
Considering that I am a PhD type of doctor with actual work experience in this field, I *know* that I'm not wrong about this.
I notice you didn’t say Medical Doctor. Are you an MD? He is.
“I *know* that I’m not wrong about this.”
Look up hubris. And look up Captain Queeg reliving a moment of accomplishment. Everyone wants to be the hero expert. The Medical community is no different.
People WANT to put that tidy emergency action plan into action.
Search and Rescue teams LIVE for getting the lost hiker call.
The medical community is too wrapped up in this emotionally by now. Being in crisis mode, being the one everyone is asking things of is seductive.
And you say you worked in the field. But you didn’t work on this. And your epidemiology and math kinda reveal you should maybe be a little less certain you are right. You are badly missing the big picture.
Considering how wrong you’ve been in the past on other issues, I am going with Rand Paul on this as he has a better track record than you do in my experience.
“Experts” willfully deceive & misinform as a matter of policy every day. We’ve been lied to about a myriad of issues for decades by experts regarding food, medicine & cannabis.
Since I stopped following the recommendations of “experts” every aspect of my life continues to improve.
Per the CDC the number of CONFIRMED seasonal flu cases the year in the US is 222,552 with 22,000 deaths. Using your math that would make the mortality rate 10%.
The number of confirmed coronavirus case in the US is 4743 with 93 deaths. Using the same math, the mortality rate is 1.9%.
I did not use estimated cases for either the flu or cv, yet you, the media and several doomers in here insist on adding the estimated cases to the flu number lowering the mortality rate to 0.1%. Add estimated low/no symptom cases to cv and the mortality rate will likely be lower than flu.
