I talked to a young traveler recently, who talked about how the Chinese will grab a monkey and clamp something around its neck. Then, with some sharp steel blades, they chop the top of the monkey’s head off and proceed to eat the monkey brains, whether the animal is alive or dead. Right there.
He said it’s a horrible place, China, and that he would never go back.
That videographer was really fixated on the snakes. He should have emphasized the cat and dog more, if his point was to make others skeeve.
If meat is poison to humans why do we have teeth optimized for tearing/eating meat?
Has anyone noticed that this outbreak started by saying it was from a wet market in Wuhan, and then we had two Dr’s who say it was created in the Wuhan biomedical laboratory. That was a few weeks ago. Now those two doctors are dead and Big Media, worldwide, has gone back to the wet market/bats to blame story? Very curious.
I stopped watching after seeing all those poor dogs in cages........So sad
Vegetarianism is a religion. Humans aren’t naturally vegetarians so it’s an inhuman one as well.
I am split on this one. I would hate to endorse anyone who says meat is poison because anything such an idiot would say is suspect.
But that market is unsanitary. The US is criticized for spraying chlorine on chicken but after seeing that video I say crank up the Clorox!

Food is food. It’s the processing, storage and preparing of it that makes it either healthy or dangerous.
We don’t eat doggies because we don’t worship cattle. We don’t eat cats because, well, they suck.

It’s been a week since I have left the house. I’m trying to get ready to teach my classes online, something my particular program was not prepared to do. (I’ll be ready, though, the next time things go belly-up.) I hate to turn on the news in the morning because of the fresh hell each day brings. I’m not in a good mood today; not enjoying the “staycation” some people apparently like so they can get mellow and do the things they haven’t had the time to do. No. My first thought this morning was, why should people here in Indiana (and other places) get sick and die, and put up with all other kinds of social and economic chaos, just because of the nasty, primitive, barbaric eating habits of some people in China? (Assuming that’s where this came from.) This s**t needs to stop. Mao got rid of the opium trade. Getting rid of this disgusting business should be within Xi’s power. Civilized countries should isolate China (yeah, right) until this is taken care of.
If the virus came from a lab in Wuhan, that’s an entirely different problem.
