President Donald Trump hinted in a tweet late Sunday night that his administration is considering reassessing its coronavirus regulations restricting people going to work.
"We cannot let the cure be worse than the problem itself," Trump wrote in all capital letters. “At the end of the 15 day period, we will make a decision as to which way we want to go!”
Vice President Mike Pence also signaled a change in tone when he said the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is going to issue guidance permitting those exposed to the coronavirus to go back to work earlier by wearing a mask for a certain period of time, Axios reported.
The remarks by Trump and Pence appear to indicate that the administration is searching for ways in which to get people back to work so that the economy can be stabilized as unemployment shoots up and the stock market tumbles.

I’ve read the drug is no longer available in pharmacies; it is only administered to hospital patients. So it might not relieve the overcrowding.

So when is this 15 day period up??????? The cure is worse than the disease. The mall, where I walk 2 miles a day, put signs up, no more mall walkers. Most/some stores are open. This is severe overkill. LET PEOPLE TAKE CARE OF THEMSELVES!! NOT THE STATE!!!
While this may well be the correct approach, everyone should realize it is not without some significant risk. Should America be “turned back on” again and there is then a significant increase in both cases and deaths, this will become THE major campaign issue of 2020, to the significant detriment of Trump. There is much fear of this virus that has been generated in the general population, and whether you or I believe it is the cousin of Captain Trips or not, many people are extremely afraid of it.
Trump and his team need to be certain - dead certain - that we are past the peak and on the downhill side with no major risk of another spike in cases or deaths, for this to be successful. That, and/or a successful treatment being widely utilized before taking this action.

I believe some of the companies that manufacture it donated it to hospitals in hard-hit areas to treat the patients that were in the worst shape as part of its testing. That would make the most sense. Once we know if that works, which as of now is very promising, it may be more widely prescribed For people with less serious cases once production ramps up

The hospitals have to be over supplied, tests readily accessible, and of course the malaria drug.
Yes, and probably when this all gets back to some kind of norm, anytime hereafter when the MFM wants they can start a rumor of some mutant virus somewhere in the Congo or some such place.
You could make that argument at any point. Even when the curve “flattens” there will be worry that when we reopen everything that it will spike up again. And it very well might.
But what’s the alternative? Stay locked down for 18 months and hope we have a vaccine? We can’t do that.

Someone told me that back in late 2019 or early 2020 before this mass panic had started he made a statement something to the effect of not to worry about the coronavirus. I have yet to find confirmation for that, but interesting if true.
