WASHINGTON (SBG) - As the coronavirus spread to all fifty states over the last two months, the Trump administration faced mounting criticism for the lack of reliable, widely accessible test kits. Now, a former senior federal health official nominated to his post by President Trump, alleges that the delays in testing occurred because leaders at the Centers for Disease Control lied to the president, and to Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar, about the centers ability to produce the kits.
In making the allegation, Chris Meekins, a former assistant secretary of Health and Human Services for preparedness and response, cited private discussions he has held in recent weeks with top federal officials and physicians and scientists employed in private-sector industries that are active in the anti-coronavirus effort. Meekins described his contacts on the White House Coronavirus Task Force as friends, some of whom he has known for many years.
From my conversations with members of the task force, both inside and outside the administration, Meekins told Sinclair in an exclusive interview, The U.S. government, from Secretary Azar to the president relied on the Centers for Disease Control to produce a test; they failed....CDC said they would handle it....What we have found out is that these leaders at the CDC lied to both the HHS secretary and, by extension, the president. And as a result the nation got weeks behind.

We thought as much. Why wouldn’t they? They are deep state
waiting for the Blame-Trump Freeper Brigade to weigh in.
CDC, Rod Rossenstein’s sister’s work place and Obama’s EEOC sandbox. Not surprising it’s being shown as incompetent.
Who would that be?
IF this is true, they should all be fired immediately, LIVE ON TV!.........................
Isn’t this typical of most government? They fail to solve problems, then lie about it. Military excluded, when was the last time government solved a problem better than the private sector, if tasked?
So the CDC lied, Americans died. Maybe there will be an accounting after the worst is over.
“..CDC lied, Americans died.”
i am not surprised. there are trump haters everywhere who don’t care who gets screwed as long as our President is at the top of the list
Maybe there will be an accounting after the worst is over.
Pffffffffffffffft.
Were they off studying gun ownership?
The same genius pool that coded the Iowa Caucus App was in charge of test kits. Sob, so smart they can’t be questioned.
During my career it was not uncommon for top level managers to over promise. They did this because they had no clue what was involved to make their promises come true. The people who did would then brief them and be told to “make it happen, “ even when it was impossible. The top level would then lie to those above them and blame others was then the failure became apparent.
IF true, people should be fired, lose their benefits and then see serious jail time.
This kind of explains why we are seeing Fauci on stage,
Fauci is with an agency with a mission to fight infectious disease. What did he do to prepare us for an epidemic like this? Why is he not considered part of the culture of unpreparedness?
Our military game-plays out a vast number of possible military scenarios, with people tasked to imagine different possibilities no matter how unlikely. Pentagon budgets then include money to prepare for various scenarios
Were CDC and Fauci agency not doing the same? If they were, why did they allow a testing process to stay in place that was filled with jurisdictional bottlenecks? Why did they not identify challenges in our ability to provide hospital resources and ventilators in mass epidemic scenarios?
Why should Fauci be treated as a god when hes part of the bureaucratic networks that were responsible for preparing for disastrous threat, but obviously didnt do enough game-planning?
2010 (H1N1 novel virus):
“The healthcare industry did a poor job of maintaining adequate supplies of N95 respirators. It wasnt until the pandemic began in earnest that the industry took a hard look at its existing supply of N95s, and only then did many companies realize that they would be facing a significant shortage.”

Apparently, our healthcare industry did not learn. And the CDC did not direct them.
bttt
It needs to be eliminated
