Cuomo is on national television daily, giving his coronavirus briefings, presenting as a man of action and sympathy, fighting for his city and state that are being overwhelmed by the virus. He looks like a president.
And old Joe? Biden, the expected Democratic presidential nominee, remains lost, hapless, eclipsed and marginalized by events.
Biden has all but disappeared, like the time you were at the supermarket with your elderly uncle, and he wandered off, again. Frantic, you searched all the aisles until you finally found him asking the lady giving out samples for another taste of banana pudding.
“Biden is a melting ice cube,” wrote New York Democrat and antitrust litigator Lloyd Constantine on his blog, in a quote now widely circulated. “Those of us who have closely watched as time ravaged the once sharp or even brilliant minds of loved ones and colleagues, recognize what is happening to the good soldier Joe.”
Two weeks ago, Democrats were insisting he wasn’t as feeble as he seems, that he was not suffering from a lack of mental acuity, that Biden was the strong leader who would win the White House for Democrats and hand them the awesome imperial power over our lives.
But things are different now. Biden fades, and Cuomo is ascendant.

Joe is simply a place-card holder, and nothing will be said until the last primary (Kentucky). Within five to seven days after that...Joe will announce he’s not healthy, and the convention is some open deal with maximum anger by the Bernie and Joe crowd that they wasted all their time here in the spring.
We need to make sure we can push Joe across the finish line of the Democrat convention.
Spending the state into billions of debt while telling conservatives to get the hell out.
We formerly called it a senior moment. The word will not come instantly to mind. Yesterday for instance, my bird bath was beset with the annual migratory presence of one of our most beautiful birds. The name wouldn’t come to mind.
After a few hours, it popped into current consciousness...... the birds are cedar wax wings. My yard is on their migratory route and has been for many many years. They come to water.
I have concluded that Biden experiences the problem in the middle of a speech. He is not conscious of the fact and his mind selects a word that is inappropriate. In a less urgent circumstance, you can mentally slow down a bit and select other words.
I function in my I interact with people and have no trouble. I no longer have senior moments. Now days, I have Biden moments.
He is not suitable for the Presidency

I think Tulsi Gabbard would be a much more formidable candidate to Trump, except the elder Dem’s don’t trust her. Hillary hates her because Tulsi is more a woman and has more personal honor than Hillary ever had. Oh Tulsi is still a loony leftist but she is a hybrid pragmatist who actually has some respect for our military and she loves our country. She would squeaze our industries but not choke the life out of them.
It’s good she will not be chosen, Trump might actually be defeated by her. Now if she were chosen as a VP pick, then the race becomes very nail biting.
If they talk Cuomo into running he might be real competition for Trump.
First they have to justify getting this pass their base. It would show the Democratic party election process is truly rig.
Also: telling nursing homes they have to take back WuFlu patients from hospitals, and advising fleeing NYC city residents that they don’t have to self-quarantine after arriving at their destinations.

I only see the virus getting worst in badly run cities. The cities Trump did not get in the first place.

Less than ten days ago, despite issuing an order for Illinois residents to isolate themselves and practice social distancing to prevent the spread of the Wuhan virus, Governor Jabba Pritzker, following orders, demanded that the Illinois primary election proceed as scheduled. The bungled low turnout election handed “Clueless Joe” an easy victory and exposed more people to the virus.
Now, it appears to be a Pyrrhic victory and the Democrats are beginning to panic as their anointed candidate is speaking gibberish.

I went to the shoprite on staten island and there wasn’t even rationing of meats or dairy or anything really, just eggs.
And I got 30.
Gotta be honest.
We ARE one of the 5 boroughs, as so many here like to point out.
And there are no grocery store or gas station lines or shortages.
That doesn’t mean he’s not an idiot.
It’s just that in the big scheme, not that many here at all have this sickness or are being affected by it at stores.
These Cuomo pressers are excruciatingly mindless and rambling. He constantly repeats himself and shares nonsensical anecdotes while giving his family shout outs. Democrats are so easily impressed.
Seems like the Democrats have a case of buyer’s remorse.
Guiliani was going to win because of his handling of 9/11. Which he actually did handle well, unlike Evil Eyes Cuomo handling this mess.

I think his job was to do nothing more than stop Bernie's momentum (which he did well); having a 'crazy' at the top of the ticket would have been disastrous for the Dems in November.
