Beginning Of The End For The EU. Albania and North Macedonia could join the European Union. Boris Johnsons approval rating at its highest.
And the US.
I sold my home in New Jersey and plan on spending the next few months in the Florida Keys - now I hear that they have blocked the road and are talking about locking us in New Jersey...
I have no home in New Jersey from next month and plan on moving about in AirBnBs until this blows over and I find a new job.
How could I get past such a roadblock if it’s the only place I can call home? How can they keep us out of our home if we happen to be on the wrong side of the street when the illegal police roadblock goes up?
You must have some sort of proof that you are moving home, even if it is your new home.
I'll be staying at AirBnBs until I find a permanent home. They can't stop me from going to the only place I have that I paid for.
Contact the Governor of Florida for help
Show him a deed or deed of trust
If you already have a residence there, they can’t keep you out. If you don’t, but where planning on looking for one, it may be different.
I won't have a deed as I do not intend to own a home again - I am a contractor and move to where my contracts are. Now, I hope to find something remote until this blows over and have long planned to move to Key Largo but only staying in AirBnBs which are a good deal for me.
I won't have a deed. It will be the only place I have to live. Can they just let me starve on the roadside next to the illegal police roadblock?
It’s my actual experience that Florida is very leery of Snow Bird companies associated with the construction business. That includes contractors and subcontractors. Licensing requirements are very strict. That is especially true in south Florida where knowledge of hurricane related codes is required
I’m not that type of contractor, I work in tech on a contract basis, often for banks or large corporations. :)
These days, most work is remote in the beginning relocating to on-site when the corona virus mess is over.
So my plan is to sit tight in the keys, living in an AirBnB until the smoke clears, then find a place close to work wherever that may be.
So far talking with companies in Charlotte, Des Moines, New York... but will go anywhere if I get work.
