It's like the AIDS bug chasers. Possibilties:
- They think it's a hoax.
- They think because of their age, there can't have any serious consequences.
- They don't think they will spread it.
- They don't care if they spread it.
- They want to get it early before the hospitals fill up.
- They want to get it over with so they can do what they want.
- They have a death wish.
- They are rebelling about being told what to do.

Wonder how many of the diverse, narcissistic attendees have some degree of immunosuppression due to underlying medical conditions or habits. Chronic marijuana use suppresses components of the immune system. AIDS patients are very vulnerable. Nevertheless hospitals don’t check your IQ before being admitted. However if you brag that you attended a COVID-19 party and die, you will be given a Darwin Award on FR.

What the host possibly hasn’t heard yet is that the virus is killing young, healthy people now, though not in the same numbers as the elderly and those with compromised immune systems. It has been killing the young all along. It's just that the elderly people have been getting all of the attention.
There are plenty of young people with comorbities who would do very badly if they caught this. For instance, asthmatics. Young cancer patients. Kids with immune disorders. The idea that young people are somehow immune or would be unaffected is not based on any scientific premise.

For a young person, the risk of dying from COVID-19 is 0.2%. Yes, it is higher than the seasonal flu but you have 99.8% chance of survival. You’re more likely to die in a car accident.
