Breitbart ^ | April 1, 2020 | John Binder

Posted on 04/02/2020 4:31:30 AM PDT by Bratch

President Trump says he has committed to American farmers to continue admitting large numbers of H-2A foreign visa workers to take agricultural jobs, even as jobless claims are set to climb above 3.3 million in the midst of the Chinese coronavirus crisis.

During a press briefing on Wednesday, Trump suggested United States farms would not survive without a continuous flow of H-2A foreign visa workers who are brought to the country by farmers. There is no limit to how many H-2A foreign visa workers can be admitted to the U.S.

Traitorous turncoat!

Bailing out so is typical of disgruntled pussies who don’t get precisely what they want. It is also typical of three year olds who threaten not to “vite you to mu birf day”

As is always common among many conservatives, you are deserting the cause for lack of perceived purity by people who disagree with you

Shame on you

This.

I support the President.

I place his intellect over the purist moaners and groaners here who bitch bitch bitch. They view life through a paper towel tube and thus can’t see reality

Trump WH is loaded with the same Bushies Cheap Labor Express
evil snakes .
Bannon and all the 2016
people were pushed out by Jared and Ivanka .

Big fat cat donors like Big AG and the Koch crowd are in control.

DHS is run by a huge Indian cheap labor lobbyist who is ramming thru 80,000 white collar visas right now.

I dont recall Cheap Labor First in 2016?

The right Dem candidate could cream
Trumps hypocrisy in Ads and a debate .

If there were an actual Conservative American Patriot on the ballot for President in 2020, Trump would lose my vote.........

“Good luck getting reelected .”

You can’t seriously believe the H1 Visa is actually going to be an issue do you? The Dems will never use it since they want MORE foreigners. They are still trying to find a way to get them to vote.

The real question is DO we need these people to work the farms and if not them then who and at what cost?

It is amazing how many clutchers here always seem to be ready to announce the demise of this President over one unsubstantial issue or another.`

Go gather 10,000 voters together and ask them what an H1 Visa is and I guarantee you 9995 would give you a blank stare.

The trolls have no shame, don’t know what it is and don’t care to learn. You are right, for them it is purity or execution.

Really ..
You cant handle facts very well .

Cheap labor first was the slogan in 2016?

Why is DHS pushing thru right now
80,000 White collar visas for Indians .
Americans are unemployed?

Why did a lead Lobbyist for a Indian Cheap labor lobbyist firm
get put in charge of DHS ?.

What in his resume screams Dept of
Homeland Security ?

Yes .

Unemployment will be the issue .

How can Trump allow his DHS head a former cheap labor express lovvyist justify pushing White Collar jobs for Indians ?

And these Ag visas are used in other industries too .

I see the Dems ‘s Hypocrisy Ads right now .

Trump ran on. America first not cheap labor first.

Yup, back in the day, they truly were migrants. Now they just stay here and get unemployment in the off season.

“Trump picked the firmer head of Indian Outsourcing firm for DHS ?”

I somehow think Jared (The Weasel) Kushner was involved.

It’s more than just wages. The seasonal nature of the agricultural sector plays a much bigger role than most people may realize. I see the same thing in the construction trades. I have a few guys in my circle of friends who gave up their careers as electricians and telecom installation specialists because they couldn’t deal with the cyclical nature of the work. You probably couldn’t get them back even for $500/hour.

My point is we don't really know unless it's tried. Farmers are not recruiters and the workers have been coming to them.

I just wonder what would happen if recruiters organized buses from the American places to the farms. What if the housing was clean and decent? What if the workers got paid American wages?

Nobody will try that so we don't know.

No one talks about it, but the vast majority of the jobs these migrants do could be replaced by machinery (some of which doesn’t yet exist, but could) - just as McDonald’s is doing in response to the $15 minimum wage. Of course food would cost a bit more (maybe 10% more), but food is very cheap these days, maybe $200 per month to feed a person with basic, but healthy food - so another $20 wouldn’t be a game changer.

I was hoping that Trump would figure that out...but not yet, and not for a while until this stupid virus is out of our lives.

I listened to President Trump’s press conference yesterday, and this came up.

President Trump said the Farmers have requested this because most of these workers have been working on the same farm for years. If they are not there, then the farmers will not be able to produce the numbers they need to.

That's a no brainer. Watermelons would be $50 a piece,maybe even higher.
