I think its a damn shame when the Navy Secretary cant call out a stupid move without “ offending” the crew of a ship that was endangered by that stupid move.

You knew he was toast when Trump said he was thinking about looking into it. If he lost the President's trust and support, or never had it to begin with, then he had no business being in the post.

"The letter was sent over non-secure, unclassified email even though that ship possesses some of the most sophisticated communications and encryption equipment in the fleet," Modly said Thursday."

Supposedly cc'd 20-30 others.

It's obvious he expected it to be leaked.

The leftists and their msm mouthpiece are all supporting the captain.

What deos that tell you?

Bye Bye to Two Pieces of Shit!

While ship cleaning is going on, how about the sailor(s) that leaked the vid of the captain leaving the boat?

Were it my command, all phones and recording devices would be checked upon boarding and returned upon leaving the ship.

"This turned into a PR disaster for the Navy when the Acting Secretary made his comments to the ship’s crew about a man they admired and respected. In all my years in the Army, I never heard such a personal attack from a senior person on someone junior to them, particularly after they had been removed from command was wasn’t able to defend themselves. Good bye and good riddance."

I was an Army Officer commissioned through ROTC. When I was a cadet, one thing drilled into us very early, very regularly and very emphatically was to NEVER dress down down a subordinate leader in front of his troops. NEVER.

Modly is a USNA grad. Either they weren't taught that or the lesson didn't take.

“What happened to the captain?” I had him shot. “Did you tell anyone?” Yes, the firing squad.

This ain’t civilian bullshit. It’s the US Military.

Trump changed his tune in one day. Says he will look into it.

Maybe there is more to this (or LESS) than we know.

I’ll have to wait and see what shakes out. The Captain “looks” bad, but something doesn’t smell right.

Agree. Crozier needed to be relieved. TR seems to have a discipline problem too. Who’s going to replace Crozier? It could make it harder for the next skipper. Transfer these crybabies, and take their high chairs with them.

“Ok that’s fine but the Navy has not been “plunged into dissaray””

The Navy is in complete disarray. Look at the last two years. The Navy laughs about pervert trannies and drag queen shows on warships underway. A nuclear sub sailor does a mass shooting at the boat in drydock. No less than two female crews have rammed destroyers into plodding gigantic cargo ships. A bunch of snowflake SEALs testified that another SEAL who was hard on them might have caused the death of an ISIS guy. The SEAL admiral wouldn’t back down on charges or shut up. Trump pardons him. They then go after his Trident and Trump has to relieve the SecNav who claims Trump is interfering with the Navy. Now a grinning ass captain “Mr. Rogers” loses his cool over an epidemic and tells his hometown paper that his ship is out of action. SecNav fires him. Then SecNav flies 8000 miles to publically trash talk the guy he correctly fired. Now HE’S gone.

What exactly would “disarray” look like to you?

“Why would you want that worthless inept person in charge of anything?”

Why not defend the “hero” again on this thread?

It’s more than embarrassing. It’s a disastrous PR situation for the Navy and the arm chair Admirals in Washington. The media and government have done all they can to scare the wits out of everyone and so when the Captain knows the virus is spreading among his crew, he wanted to do something about it. He said if it was war, we would fight sick. But it’s not war and he did the right thing.

You didn’t see the video of nearly the whole ship’s crew standing there to see him off? The Captain is a hero to his men because he stood up for them. I knew the other day when the top enlisted sailor in the Navy openly criticized him that his days were numbered. This retired Army Officer considers him a hero and wishes him God speed in his future challenges.

How about one piece of shit and another just trying to protect his seamen? Sorry dude, but there's only one piece of shit in this story and that's Modley........

With that being said, how could we know unless you can provide us information on how to access the WSJ website without a subscription?????????????
