Guam didn’t tip over yet?
Should have taken Pilosi and Shummer. Then it never would on the media radar
Darn, that’s almost as much as it cost to transport Obola’s dog to Martha’s Vineyard and back.

Check out article and # 4.
Interesting to me that theres no word in the press on this matter.
Literally not even rounding error for the FedGov.
Okay, who is in a position to rebut that stupid number?

I believe they made a port call in Vietnam. Apparently they picked up the coronavirus there and I am sure there were a few other bugs present when they hit the open water.
Allowing for inflation, that’s more than it cost to retrieve Fala during World War II.
He got off cheap. Bloomberg paid $500M to get humiliated.
” It costs $6,946.19 per hour “
I’d like to see that broken down. Can’t be just fuel costs and pilots and crew get paid whether flying or not.
$12/mile. 7,000 miles is $90,000 one way. so $182,000.
None of us know the full story on this from either the Captain who clearly went outside the chain of command with a leaked email about one of our nations most vital strategic assets clearly indicating it was not mission capable or the ASECNAV whose comments seemed pretty harsh and in my opinion subverted his own subordinates who commanded the Captain and got involved in something publicly that should have been handled by the Captain’s chain of command.
Wow, that was a long sentence!
However, given how much jet travel is done in the government and within DOD this seems like a cheap shot. If there is a problem of this magnitude on a carrier it is not unreasonable to assume those in charge might go directly to the carrier to address the crew and assess the situation. A carrier is about as big a deal as one can find in the Navy.
but that is a lot of non flight sunk costs.

Dont care. If he had delivered an appropriate message to that crew, vs. the one he gave that ended his being acting SecNav, it would have been worth every penny.
No doubt...
Especially if reports that the Captain ascertained that ‘ALL’ the CV-19 cases were in the North, and his port call was in “Dang-Nang” are true
