When the Air Force Academy is run by a lesbian and has a Wiccan prayer circle. When the Navy has a drag queens at sea and women driving ships and crashing into container ships. When the Navy brass does all they can to prosecute a seal and ruin his life because he killed an isis guy. When almost every general retiring quickly aligns with the Democrat party, globalism, the war in Syria, and gun control, don’t expect us to automatically support the military. At this point, it’s case by case.

I’d wager good money Modly is more likely to be a Democrat than Crozier.

I don't know about Modly either way, but I'm positive about Crozier, based on the following:

1. He wrote a panicky 5 page letter
2. He sent it to all his buddies
3. He leaked it to his hometown paper
4. He's from the San Francisco area
5. Pelosi, Blumenthal, Lieu, Gallegos.... every politician calling for Modly's ouster has been a hardcore Leftie.

I'm telling you, Crozier is their darling all of a sudden. That tells me his family is known in Pelosi's world.

Baloney. Step number one was to walk down the hall to the admiral. He’s whiny memo didn’t say a word about what he needed to keep the ship combat effective. No request for additional medical personnel, no request for urgent replacement sailors, no request for decontamination equipment, no request for assistance of any kind. No mention of the mission.

All he did was whine about wanting to dump 90% of his crew ashore in CDC approved individual berths.

It may sound harsh, but mission number one is not babysitting his crew from a cold. It’s executing the mission of that ship to peak efficiency. The well-being of the crew is the next concern, and the reason it’s a concern is because that’s what makes number one happen. But he forgot his mission. Sounds like they need a Marine officer to command the captain

That alone should alert everyone: this is not your father's military.

We can’t find someone with an ounce of testosterone for that job?

I want it!!
Swift Boat Sailor, Viet Nam 1965-66
QM 2, Tin Can Navy, 66-68.
That would be a really, really, fun job.

Oh for goodness sakes. That isn’t rounding error on the amortized daily cost of operating a carrier battle group. The question isn’t what it cost to visit. It’s did his visit serve a legitimate operational purpose.

Good points. From what I read of Modly's speech, he didn't mention these things because he was already getting them via SECNAV's Chief of Staff.

I know a lot of people don't like that Modly tried to explain himself, but Crozier had his say in a very public forum, and I don't blame Modly for wanting his. They were TRYING to get his men off-loaded. They were in communication with the Governor of Guam and with this Captain.

As for Crozier, he operated just like these governors who thank Trump on the phone for his help, then go to the media and bash him like he's doing nothing. This Crozier has acted exactly like a liberal every step of the way.

He didn’t say a word about what he was doing the the resources he already had, which includes a full medical staff with surgeons and all the fixings.

And it should have been done in a way in which the press wouldn’t find out about it.

Sometimes officers just get in the way. Sounds like they just needed a Master Chief Bosun's Mate - youse youse and youse over there. Youse, you're in charge of mops and clorox. You fifty useless [expletives deleted] - you are going to disinfect all ladders and passageways every watch change. Sir-you, touching your face - you are setting a bad example for my men. Try it again and I'll be touching your face - Sir.

Course that's probably too old school these days.

Not knowing who plans and organizes these junkets Modly appears to believe he is part of the privileged class. He's so important we can spare no expense. Money is no object. We've seen these pr*cks before.

When do we get oversight and accountability?

You’ve never been any kind of a leader in a good-sized organization, have you?

Needless to say, I disagree strongly with your assertion. The crew aren’t mindless automatons.

Modly biggest goober ever. He has been quarantined for going there. Does he not get the internet? Cv19 is a death sentence yo.

From March 31st:

“I heard about the letter from Capt. Crozier (Tuesday) morning, I know that our command organization has been aware of this for about 24 hours and we have been working actually the last seven days to move those sailors off the ship and get them into accommodations in Guam. The problem is that Guam doesn’t have enough beds right now and we’re having to talk to the government there to see if we can get some hotel space, create tent-type facilities,” Modly said.

“...his email was a career ending event and he had to know that.”

Not so fast there bub. I just heard that they are considering reinstating his command.

Nothing would surprise me anymore, but my point stands. You don’t send an email like that about the condition of one of our carriers (especially one that is deployed) via private email nor should it be leaked to the San Francisco rag or any other paper.

Certainly not before he arrived. Can we send Hank there to see if it really would tip over? What a great idea! Think he’d go for it?
