plus... she lost her last election to one the biggest flakes ever to run for Senate...McSally waited until the last debate to go after Sinema and came off looking like a lunatic...shes bad at campaigning..plus, umm...shes not the most attractive candidate.

All I know is McSally lost a senate seat, then got appointed to take McCain’s place now is looking like she’s going to lost the other Senate seat...

She singlehandedly has turned Arizona Blue in the Senate, which is terrible.

Same thing is happening in NC. So many liberals from New York and other northeastern hell holes come here to retire. They spend their time going back and forth between their winter homes in Florida and their summer homes here in the mountains that they are called halfbacks. It is turning our red state purple and the Charlotte/Raleigh/Asheville trifecta will make it hard for Tillis to retain his seat. Trump only won by 3 percentage points in 2016 so it will be a close race. If he can win this year hopefully Tillis can ride his coattails and hold on to his seat.

I would ask you to please stop bashing Arizonans as politically lazy or idiots. The real problem is that the previously conservative majority of long time Arizona residents is simply being overwhelmed and their power at the ballot box diluted by ex-Californians (+) illegals.

I'd have to disagree with you that this is a recent thing. In the 1970s a former Vietnam POW was running against the despicable Morris Udall and the local GOP wouldn't back him. Udall won by about 10,000 votes. His closest election.

She did not. She stood by POTUS through the entire process.

It’s hard to believe that Arizona could end up with two Rat senators! The Californication of Arizona will be complete.

Which is why I will vote for McSally. The AZ media is not kind to McSally and never was. Then you have Adrian Fontes in Maricopa County trying to make voting easier for the democratic base.

“there may be a certain sympathy vote of support going on here.”

Could be sympathy. Also could be that the low-I.Q. voters, typically star struck, are choosing the awesome astronaut over a mere female U.S. military pilot — the first woman to fly in combat.

Trump is only backing her to keep the republican majority in the senate. There’s no one else there to back that has a better chance.

Exactly right.

As always, it isn't about conservatism, it's about winning.

They keep recycling this douchenozzle poll. They have gotten perhaps five or six stories out of this one poll from a group no one knows.

This tells me that in fact Martha McSally is closing the gap. Her China commercials are effective, Kelly is sidelined and cannot campaign. If McSally is within one (I think she’s at 2 now), Trump will pull her over.

We’ve been over and over this. There simply was NO. ONE. ELSE.

Sheriff Joe was a proven loser, at 1/2 the number of votes Ward got, who got beat badly by McSally.

Ducey was not going to step down and take a seat that came up in only two years.

Kyl did not want to stay there. No one else in the state had the fundraising ability (and yes, McSally can raise $) or the name ID to hold the seat. You can see this in the fact that we cannot even get decent candidates for AZ1, 2 or 9.

Like it or not, McSally was the only choice.

IIRC the McCain vs Udall race was for a AZ congressional seat (District 1)? Udall’s family were a political institution in both AZ and NM. I don’t disagree that AZ has elected some real zeros to national office from time to time. Regardless, it is an undeniable fact that, as with many western states (to include Texas), that California has projectile hurled people into Washington, Oregon, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico and Colorado and has changed their political landscape for the worse.

Arizona is going “purple” and I don’t see where it will ever again be a solid red state.

My $0.02

McSally is the candidate, can’t change that. You can stamp your feet, throw a tantrum and be angry about it, but it is what it is.

She wasn’t my first choice for that spot, but I didn’t have a say in it.

You play the hand that you are dealt. Do you want gun-grabber Kelly or not?

That’s your choice.

How did lesser evil voting work out in California? Bad GOPe candidates supporting open borders elect Democrats in the end. We’ve seen this movie many times before.
