The new unemployment numbers are out and there's really no way to butter this biscuit, folks. Unless America's economic engine is restarted, we will be plunged into a Great Depression.
Since the global pandemic hit our shores, more than 22 million Americans have filed for unemployment benefits.
And the only way to stop this economic death spiral is for every freedom-loving citizen to embrace their constitutional rights, take to the streets and demand that their state leaders reopen this nation.
As I wrote in "Culture Jihad: How to Stop the Left From Killing a Nation," the time has come for gun-toting, Bible-clinging patriots to rise up with a mighty voice and declare that this great American experiment is worth saving.
It’s hard to fathom what our country has been through over the past few months. The nation was shut down based on a virus death-count that thankfully proved not to be accurate.
Our diners and department stores were shuttered based on that data. Our baseball fields and church houses were closed. Our civil liberties have been stripped away because of what the medical experts told our government leaders.
The Mainstream Media did their part by fomenting national hysteria as part of a sick and twisted narrative that the nation was in the throes of a dystopian apocalyptic reality show.
On Thursday President Trump unveiled his plan to open up American again - a plan that has strong support across the country. And while there are glimmers of hope that a number of the states will soon be reopening for business, many Democrat leaders are balking.
New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio even suggested during a Fox News Channel interview with Bill Hemmer that the Big Apple may not reopen until September.
Let me be perfectly frank - should that happen - the city as we know it will be destroyed. Small businesses will not be able to survive. Crime will surge to catastrophic levels.
I understand why these Democrat overlords are hesitant to relinquish their control. They have tasted of the power to decide who gets to plant a garden and who gets to surf in the ocean.
They have become intoxicated by the authority they have to suspend civil liberties and order jackbooted thugs to shut down churches and appliance stores.
But I believe the Democrats also see this virus as a political opportunity to take down a president whose economic policies brought historic prosperity to this country.
“The media would like to see me do poorly in the election,” President Trump said in March. “I think there are certain people who would like it not to open so quickly. There are certain people who would like [the economy] to do poorly because that would be very good as far as defeating me at the polls. I don't know if that's so, but I think there are people in your profession that would like that to happen. I think it's very clear.”
Remember what Bill Maher said back in 2018 on his HBO show, Real Time.
"Can I ask about the economy because this economy is going pretty well? I feel like the bottom has to fall out at some point. And by the way, I'm hoping for it. Because I think one way you get rid of Trump is a crashing economy. So, please, bring on the recession. Sorry if that hurts people, but it's either root for a recession or you lose your democracy," Maher said.

Kristin Tate, writing for The Hill, asked the following question:
"The economy under Trump has made gains every month. Any deviation from low unemployment, strong wage growth, and gross domestic product growth would assist his opponent," she wrote. "Democrats would reap the whirlwind, potentially causing mayhem before taking office, then using a 2021 recession to seek broad new fiscal powers."
Americans are not built to shelter in place. That’s not who we are. Americans are engineered to be hard workers. We don’t want a handout from the government. We don’t want a monthly check in the mail. We want to stand on our own two feet.
But that cannot happen when state governments deploy an army of health workers and building inspectors and police to shut down our privately owned businesses.
Not only is it possible that the Democrats could tank the economy, I believe it is a very real possibility. Just remember that it was the Democrats who held every American taxpayer hostage with that bloated coronavirus stimulus package.
And as of this writing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is blocking small business owners from receiving government assistance.
In March former Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel resurrected his infamous quote from the 2008 financial meltdown: never let a crisis go to waste.
“Never allow a crisis to go to waste,” Emanuel said on ABC's This Week. “Start planning for the future. This has to be the last pandemic that creates an economic depression. We're going to have more pandemics, but this has to be the last economic depression.”
There are more than 22 million unemployed Americans and if the Democrats have their way, we could all be standing in the breadline together.
Funny though, Trump will have the upper hand if it does tank, because everyone knows it wasn’t his fault.
And they know he’s already demonstrated the ability to fix the economy.
DemonicRats will burn the country down to get Trump. They need to pay by whatever means are necessary.
Trump is doing it right.
Let some states open up, see the results, and if it works, there will be too much pressure on the other states, that they will have no choice but to open up likewise.
I understand that there are many facets to this, but it seems that the Law Of Unintended Consequences will bite the RAT govs in their respective asses when it all shakes out.
Also, the states need the money that economic activities produce. The feds can print money, the states can’t.

Yesterday , our great and wonderful president , Donald J Trump , has laid out the opening of America guidelines - which are very conservative and that a lot of input by doctors Fauci and Birx
there’s really no way that liberals can poke holes in these guidelines. they have specific timetables on when you get from stage one and stage two and stage III and so now the spotlight will simply be on the intransigent mayors and Governors in blue states who do not want the economy to restart ; and this will be fun to watch
Because guess what ? There’s a lot if democrats that want to get back to reality and gun and bars and sports. Count on it !

that will work until the sheep start seeing the rest of the country starting up again... First the cries of unfairness will echo across the land, then they’ll realize it’s falling on def ears. The the Teens in the cities will start to misbehave and then the dem Governors will have no choice but to back off...

Has no-one considered that these same Dem “conspirators” will crash their OWN, city & state-level economies if they keep things shut down any longer than absolutely necessary? And in the process, have their own world class collapse on their hands to deal with?
The largest city near me is run by a Dem mayor (albeit, a former businessman of some renown), and they are already having HUGE $$ problems - mostly because of the drop in “revenues” (ie: taxes) including $600K a DAY in casino taxes. The $$ problems are to the point he’s cutting employees, cutting pay, furloghing workers, etc. If it continues much longer, there won’t be much left for him to run. And I think he knows that there is no white knight on the horizon that’s going to gallup in and save his city. So do you think he actively WANTS the city to stay shut down and lose all those “revenues” until his city totally and completely collapses? Hell, no!
I have no doubt the Dems and MSM are loving the economic pain happening at the moment and the impact it’s having on POTUS, but to suggest that they WANT the economic pain to continue - even if it hurts their own states to the point of collapse or near collapse also is just plain dumb IMHO, and gives the other side plenty of ammo to say that we’ve lost our minds..
These clowns who are rooting for a depression should think about who will be the first casualties when the civil war begins. They need to take a long hard look into a mirror and ask themselves if it’s worth it.
As I was completely disobeying my lock down orders and driving home from visiting my daughter’s home today, I decided that China deliberately released this into America to crash the economy and get President Trump out of office. They want the dems back in so they can get back on the $500 Billion a year gravy train that the president brought to a screeching halt.
Not only do I think China has done this intentionally, but I believe they had a wink and a nod from the dems, in particular, the Clintons. The Clintons have always been in cahoots with the Chicoms.....and both the Clintons, along with the dems, and the Chinese could not care less about those hurt or killed along the way.

The Democrats proposal to halt the economy-and then extending the shut down-is classic Cloward-Piven. These were two university professors from Columbia University School of Social Work, who realized that a capitalist society would never switch to communism because we are too economically successful. So, they advocated getting as many people on food stamps, welfare, etc. to eventually become too expensive, and that would crash the whole economic structure. Out of the ashes, their new Socialist society would have a “guaranteed annual income” for all citizens. Sound familiar? This corona virus halting of the economy is Cloward-Piven on the fastrack.
Day 1 of the reopening, Trump should ANNOUNCE he is moving all federal purchases from shut-down states into those opening. Move as much as possible, as fast as possible - cancel open contracts if possible. Make blue state business (likely democrat supporters) DEMAND their states open too.
And the idiots in NYC will reelect De Blasio or some other communist, and smile happily while their own throats are cut.
