So if people can go to the beach why can’t people go to work? Or go shopping?

>> So if people can go to the beach why can’t people go to work? Or go shopping? <<

I live in the Lockdown state of Illinois and I have no problem doing either. I work in retail (print services) and have to interact with strangers every day who won't keep their distance. I could follow their example and go shopping at Walmart or Target if I wanted. I choose to do all my shopping online.

Hopefully other states on the East Coast will open in order to get people to move back up north. The Mid Atlantic cannot absorb all of NYS so Cuomo keeps his numbers low at the expense of other states.

And they mocked and insulted Trump when he said by Easter. Here we are 5 days later.

At the beach, it's easy to stay 20 feet from people. If they get to crowded, only then tighten up.

In an office or factory, it can be hard to stay even 6 feet apart, but it's still worth doing.

This is how I visualize the way to navigate forward out of the Covid-19 pandemic.

It's no good if we wait until "the patient" (the U.S. economy) is entirely Covid-19 free, if "the patient" is dead by then, and we are in a "Greater Depression."

The needle that must be threaded is to revive the economy without starting new outbreaks that overwhelm our hospitals. Don't focus on numbers of Covid cases, fatalities, or anything else: just hospital ICU capacity. That's how mitigation was sold to us: "flatten the curve" to keep our hospitals from being overrun. Okay, we have done this, except maybe in some local parts of NY and NJ.

This dialing back of the shutdown should be done at the state, city and county level.

Almost all California beaches have remained open throughout the Corona Era and CA numbers have stayed low.

Go away. Your credibility is zero. Spamming threads with your graphic is annoying at best.

Me and some other citizens hope that Dudley Do Nothing McMaster see the positive signs of stuff opening on twitter.

I don’t have a lot of hope for the guy.

It could have been worse. That dem could have won. Heaven knows how whacked he’d been.
