Never had a refund, huh? This is the reason why your stimulus check has not been received. Only us IRS filers who get refund money back via direct deposit have gotten our stimulus checks already.

Oh well. Those who snail mail their IRS returns in will someday get a stimulus check back. By snail mail.

I pay every year as well, by direct debit from my checking account. You would think since the IRS therefore already has my routing number and account number everything would be a “go” to direct deposit the stimulus payment. Nope. Website says same thing many are getting, that it can’t determine my eligibility.

Somewhere online I saw a message claiming that even if they have your info for withdrawal, you will not receive a direct deposit unless you received a direct-deposited refund in 2018 or 2019. It’s the same information, regardless of whether money is going in or out; I don’t get it.

My sister and Mom are both on SS and neither have gotten their stimulus...Both could surely use it, so hope it comes soon

A small thing for people who don’t really need the money. There are a great many who are waiting on it in deep trepidation as a lifeline.
I am far more concerned about those folks than I am about people like you or me. If I get it last I’m perfectly fine with that. But, there are many who wait on this money in desperation.
This arbitrary shutdown of so many businesses where gov’t bureaucrats decide what is “essential” and what is not should never, ever be done ever again. For any reason under any circumstance.
As President Trump said, the Cure must not be worse than the Disease. And, for 22 MILLION Americans and counting, it is.

Yes, there is no way to set up direct deposit if it isn’t already in the system. It seems like you’re stuck getting a check sent even if you don’t want one.

I am paying taxes for last 30-35 years but irs cannot determine my status on their "get my payment" page. Last year they accepted money from my account but they cannot find my status now.

I've read that unless you received a refund via direct deposit, you will get a check. Even if they have your bank account info because you paid with that, they won't use that to send you the money.

On SS but not disability . I too don’t make enough to file taxes . I’m also an expat living in Japan . I’ve read that expats will also receive some money but haven’t seen it yet .

How do you know? Their website can't even determine eligibility for some who filed a 2018 return.

My husband and I receive SS through direct deposit and we receive our payments on the 4th Wednesday of the month. I’m hoping we get ours this Wednesday.

We’ll get them on a Wednesday. That’s when SS deposits did payments.
