I tried it every day until it worked. At first it had no information. Then a couple days ago it said my check would be mailed.
A friend who receives SSI said he and many other SSI recipients in his building have a notice of the check pending for 4/22 in their online banking. They all used free TurboTax online about three weeks ago to file zero dollar taxes. That got their routing information into the system.
Im SS and havent gotten mine. My son and his wife havent gotten theirs. My daughter hasnt gotten hers. My lawn care service guy hasnt gotten his. Were all in Southern Oregon. Income levels spam the spectrum. Were all established for direct deposit to
I’m in the same boat as you.
Not planning on receiving this payment any time soon.
Thankfully at present do not need it.
Feel for those who do need it who are not getting it any time soon.....
The message I got on the Get My Payment webpage (check to be mailed) includes this sentence:
“We will mail you a letter with additional information on this payment.”
This sounds like they will send a separate letter before they send the check, perhaps to let you know of its imminent arrival.
Does this seem right?
Don’t know. I never get that far.
Asking around it seems that only about one person in twenty has received their “Stimulus” check.
Those that have are NOT necessarily those who need it most, all sorts of income levels and ages.
Either we turn the economy back on NOW, or at this rate too many will be losing their homes in addition to their jobs.
In reality the “Stimulus” is too small to make a significant difference when folk have had no income for over a month and no end in sight.
The bills continue to pile up, and how many business are expected to just write-off the lost income?
I’m still paying my rent and utilities, but this month is going to be late, next month will be even harder.
Another month beyond that would be impossible for far too many of us.
“Not true. I’m on social security and haven’t gotten mine.”

we’re talking about ACTUAL PHYSICAL CHECKS, not direct deposit. sheesh
I’ve had direct deposit for years, and it originates at your bank. Contact them for direct deposit information.

Mrs. Froggy and I are direct deposit SS. Filed taxes in Feb.
Due $22.00 refund, not by direct deposit.
Have not yet received checks or deposit.
I did read that Social Security recipients would get these funds in May. Hubby gets SS also, but I think ours will be based on our tax return where I am the primary filer, so I expect ours to be mailed. Luckily we dont desperately need this.
You can sign up for Informed Delivery Daily Digest. You will get a daily email with pictures of what will be delivered that day and packages soon to arrive.
Not here yet. I have direct deposit of SS (age 68) but the IRS web site states they have been unable to determine if I am qualified. But thank God we get anything. That will change in the future type of dictatorship.
To be fair, the fact that SS and SSI payments are ongoing means that most recipients have not lost their income, whereas many filers have.
Still, it amazes me how inefficient government can be (timewise),
post office boxes are a good investment
mail more secure
in rural areas they are very affordable
Social security retirees and disability recipients are supposed to get their stimulus mo ey by May 1st.
I file electronically but pay by check, so they have my direct deposit information via my social security payments,
Thanks
Thanks
Thanks, I’ll try it. Would be good if they told when it would happen.
