The disease is everywhere...but most have no symptoms, and most of the rest have mild symptoms. So why do we panic about this stupid virus?

This makes no sense to me. They are in a confined environment and obviously can’t go out in public. Don’t they test prison employees for the CV?

I guess the fastest way to get tested is to commit a crime.

1800 of the 2500 inmates have been tested.

1,828 Marion Correctional inmates+ 109 staff members have coronavirus.
38 are currently receiving outside hospital level care,

One staff death was announced on April 8. No inmates have died

That’s a death rate of 0.05%

The good news is that we are now getting useful datasets. If healthy people are not dying then we are in the clear. Target therapies (HCQ/Zinc/Zpac, Redevsmir, plasma if needed) to those who have pre existing conditions, older patients and those that develop severe symptoms or known to have a high exposure (ie Healthcare workers). Problem is that there is not enough right now to go around, nonetheless enough masks, sanitizer/soap, ppe ect. Maybe by the end of May we will have enough of it and we can reopen 80%.

Which is the point. Ohio was going to open, this cannot be allowed.

Of the 1,828 cases, 38 are currently receiving outside hospital level care

I love it, sounds like some promising numbers. I hope to see a followup.

This could actually be a boon to discovering the true nature of this virus.

Assuming most of the perps are in pretty good shape, see how they do. Tell us how badly virus affects them, HOW LONG, and record how many die.

I saw that the cruise ship early on actually ddI not have that much death. These “germ factories” are actually a great way to check out what really happens, rather than all the hype and panic of assuming it’s the Black Death.

Well that will skew the flattering curve

The only curve any plan should be based on is the hospitalization curve.

I hope that's what Trump's plan uses.

More reason to keep em locked up so they don’t get released and infect people outside, especially their families.

So Once again when investigated, we are finding way way way more folks have this and are asymptomatic meaning the mortality rate of this, is way way lower... though the flip side is the reproductive rate may be higher than believed.

There has been a bizarre fascination on the part of the media with convicts and prisons during the epidemic with a ridiculous glut of stories. The implication is clear: we should somehow care more about these criminals even as many of them are loosed without parole or other just cause.
