I have never appreciated our Sergeants-at-Arms more than today,’ Sen Dayna Polehanki tweeted “
Oh spare the drama snowflake. When we really do “storm the Capitol” it won’t look like this honey.
I wonder if those elected officials are aware that their little bullet proof vests are unlikely to stop bullets from the rifles those 'revolting peasants' are carrying.
(unless they are military / SWAT grade vests with hard plates.)
On the other hand, good for those 'revolting peasants'; I hope this spreads faster than Coronavirus. Long past time that our governments begin to fear those whom they are supposed to serve, not rule.
Actually, the correct tools include exercising your RKBA. The 2nd amendment isnt just for hunting you know.
Yeah, it’s inevitable. Time for a wake up call! The tyrannical state government losers are the first ones to go!
Wish they showed the same amount of zeal protesting the murder of babies.
I’m very proud of the “Armed Protesters”, needs to happen more often. I have a friend who until recently had a very successful music and is now watching it wither on the vine because NJ refuses to open up. Yet I can go into Walmart and purchase anything I want in a crowd of people.
COVID-19 is/was mostly political and is being used to against us.
So, tell me, where do YOU draw the line?
Well, well, well. Seems that actions like these bring out the “sunshine patriots” (as Thomas Paine would have called them) on Free Republic. Why should we care about the “PR” (and if you honestly care what other people think of you and you are aver the age of 17, then you aren’t anyone whose opinion will matter)? The Democrats don’t. They seize power and dare anyone to do something about it.
When the people fear the government, you have tyranny. When the government fears the people, you have liberty. It’s about time the government were re-introduced to the notion of the “consent of the governed”...
Sternly worded letters usually proceed armed conflict, in a functioning democracy populated by sane people.
No, I know they don’t have any problem with the legislators, but this sure stiffened the spine in a lot of legislators who realized the stakes.
Thank God the police were calm.
As for Whitmer or any governor, they should not be allowed to do this kind of “state of emergency” without approval of the state legislature. And there should be no extensions unless approved by both houses. All the state legislatures should originate bills to require this.
Who knew our state governors were King George III in waiting?
The people with the rifles were there just as security. Look at the pix...most are women, families, working men.
“Stormed the capitol” ???
Snowflake reporter(ette), for sure.
They all got their temperatures checked before entering.
Michiganders Honk for Freedom 8pm nightly. Car horns sounding throughout the state every night at 8pm for a minute, until freedom and constitutionality return.
Wow!
Looks as if Whitmer’s re-election hopes and future political career have suddenly gone “toilet.”
Whitmer had better remember what happened to other evil dictators in history. Nicolae Ceausescu comes to mind.
Nice! I live in FLorida, where our governor has been better than most (but then, he has also given us a well-run state with few financial problems and a young population that grows every day and is not fleeing). I send emails to the Governor and the local mayor, and I think a lot of other people do too. The mayor, who was much more shutdown oriented than the Gov, has suddenly relented.
Do what you can and need to do...write emails, honk horns - and if they don’t listen, then it’s time to storm the State House. And get laws passed prohibiting governors from taking this kind of action without the approval of the people through their legislators, regardless of how crummy those legislators are...they listen out of self-interest.
Michigan voters will never learn. They just keep electing liberals and should live with their decisions.
When the enemy starts shooting at me.
