I’ve heard him speak on Glenn Beck and he makes a lot of sense, from what I’ve heard.

I would suggest that, if he sounds like a kook to you, it may be because you have been culturally changed away from the culture the Forefathers established.

Found this:

Under Trump’s new executive order, “the Secretary of Agriculture shall take all appropriate action under that section to ensure that meat and poultry processors continue operations consistent with the guidance for their operations jointly issued by” the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

So what does all that mean? Probably not as much as was feared.

“Nothing in the text of the Order claims any power to force plants to ‘stay open,’ and nothing in the statutory sections on which the Order purports to rely delegates such authority,” University of Texas law professor Steve Vladeck noted on Twitter yesterday.

Glenn Beck had Massie on his show this a.m. to discuss this in a little more detail. I know it's a long shot, but if this was passed it could be the start of both unraveling Wickard v. Filburn, as well as reinvigorating the American meat producer against foreign competition.

And that can change in two seconds because of the latitude the DPA gives the POTUS. We talked about this ad nauseum yesterday.

By the time the average American is fifty, he’s got five pounds of undigested red meat in his bowels.

That's not true.

I don't believe that. But if true, the first colonoscopy prep takes care of that.

The professors answer on twitter:

You don’t think this is open ended enough to provide for such powers?

“The President may prescribe such regulations and issue such orders as the President may determine to be appropriate to carry out this Act.”

@steve_vladeck
·
No. Because the regulations still have to be a reasonable construction of the authorities conferred by the Act itself.

Your problem here, FRiend 98, is that there’s so much bad information floating around that it’s often hard to tell where truth begins and sarcasm leaves off ... or vice versa.

That’s why I always appreciate the /s or /sarc tags. Because sometimes I can’t tell gross exaggeration from whatever the enemedia is passing off as news.

And this is coming from an old-school newspaperman, now retired, thank you, Lord.

I’m guessing S. King’s district in IA is similar to Massie’s in Kentucky, very rural. They know what their talking about.

He is talking through both sides of his mouth. He is a military justice expert but he is not the commander in chief who can change policy based upon the dynamics oh the situation and if those regulations do not provide an effective war fighting strategy they can be restructured. i know because I work development of big ticket item military equipment and things can be changed in our supply chain issues if required and the regulatory necessities can be restructured into the process.

By the time the average Millennial Vegan is thirty, he’s got ten pounds of undigested free range kale in his bowels.

And he can’t even hack it up and chew it like a cow eating her cud.
