Despite the ongoing crisis, our U.S. Senators left D.C. to go home. They havent been able to get much accomplished for the American people remotely.
But are they still getting paid? You better believe it. With some states reopening, McConnell had the reasonable plan to reopen the Senate. But one long-term Democrat is demanding to extend her paid vacation.
From The Hill:
Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) is urging Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) to cancel his plan to bring the Senate back to Washington, D.C., on Monday, saying the House did the right thing by deciding not to return next week.
You gotta be kidding me. Even as Americans struggle to cope with this crisis, Sen. Feinstein (a Democrat from CA) is demanding McConnell cancel his plan to reopen the Senate.
She said the House did the right thing by shutting down and sending everyone on a vacation.
Really, Dianne? Americans have been forced to stay home. Many of them arent getting paid. Hourly workers have been slammed by this situation.
Meanwhile, D.C. fat cats get to go home, while still being paid? How is that right?
Many states are reopening. Some governors are bucking the medias demands and forging a path to save their economies while keeping people safe.
Yet this senator wants to stay home? I guess that Netflix list isnt going to watch itself!
Why cant senators do something to get the economy back on track? They were willing to spend trillions to deal with the shutdowns.
Why cant they now make plans to get the country working again?
She’s a Chinese agent Jim.
That corrupt old bat needs to join Piglousy and hang upside down in a tree for all eternity
Very much to the advantage of incumbents running for the Senate (and all House seats). Of course, selected GOP Senate seats will be targeted hard.
Fine. Recess the Senate for real. 6 weeks ought to do it.
Then let the recess appointments begin.

Each House may determine the Rules of its Proceedings, punish its Members for disorderly Behaviour, and, with the Concurrence of two thirds, EXPEL a Member.
“Shes a Chinese agent Jim.”
I don’t think it was a coincidence, or ignorance on her part, that her driver for 20 years was a Chinese spy. Call me crazy, but ...
Since it's something that the House can't do, the House is free to adjourn.
But not the Senate, so Feinstein, the ranking member of the Judiciary Committee, complains.

The True Face Of The Democrat Party!
She doesn’t want any more Trump judges confirmed.
Cutt off their paychecks until they go back to work!
I like them staying out of Washington, D. C.
Only bad things happen when they are there.
Can we stop the lock-down for everyone else, and convince
them that they still need to stay in their home state?
Is she giving her salary up? NOPE...Get back to work...you work (supposedly ) for us.
Through all of this,FedGov has shown how worthless they really are.
Bipartisanship at last.
No work, DiFi, no pay
(If only they had to live like the rest of us)
Nope! She Never works for us!
She can stay in California.
The longer Congress is not in session, the safer we are.
I have no problem with that as long as they are not getting paid. No work — no pay.
