Bad representative govt isn’t tyranny. It’s the result of entitlement mentality.

The DOI clearly defined what is a rational point of rebellion, and as long as we collectively enable our elected officials, we will continue to get further erosion of the limited govt principle as mandated in the Constitution.

But, you are correct in terms of maintaining the ability to effect change when that time (of usurpation leading to tyranny) comes.

there is no way to know exactly how many such firearms are in circulation?

I'm not so sure about that. I think every firearm has to be registered so they pretty much know who has what.

I see a surge in boating accidents.

Old quote:

If things are so bad that you have to bury your guns

How bad do things have to get before you dig them up?

There are more lakes in Canada than the rest of the world combined. Canada is the Saudi Arabia of fresh water.

And that was and will always be the purpose of these ‘laws’. They are designed to control the law abiding, not go after the criminal element.

Leftists hate you, folks. They murder babies and they will murder you if you give them a chance.

Only certain ones. In the 90s the Canadian government attempted to impose a national registry of all rifles...there was so much noncompliance, misinformation, spamming etc. that they finally had to give it up.

Not to mention lots of war trophies and “lunchbox specials” never got registered, and many small arms disappeared from Canadian Forces bases over the years.

How did Canada ban guns? Did Prime Minister Trudeau just say so himself?

Basically, yes.

Or was it a law passed by Canadian Parliamrnt?

No. So we await the lawsuits to decide.

“...the government nixed its registry and all information contained within it in 2015...”

Right.

Smart. It appears he likes his scalp and phony eyebrows where they are and not stretched on a frame out by the shed.

***military-grade assault weapons***
= = =

Hmmm

Assualt Weapons, does not limit itself to rifles.

So spears, sabres, poison gas, even cavalry horses, etc. , developed and used for military, are ‘military-grade.’

We saw the same thing when Canada imposed its stupid gun registry some years ago. There were an estimated 6 million firearms in Canada at the time. When only 1 million were registered, the Chretien government simply announced there were only 1 million firearms in total — and that they obviously overestimated it. None of the nitwits in government wanted to admit that more than 80% of the gun owners had refused to comply with the law.

IIRC, a lot of the million or more guns that were registered were not even firearms. Helpful citizens reportedly registered glue guns, grease guns, staple guns, etc, and the expensive government database ended up being largely corrupt and entirely useless...
