Fauci is a single voice. There is an entire chorus at the White House.
He speaks like an attorney telling you all of the the things that could possibly go wrong. He “sounds” reasoned and educated.
There are a bunch of other voices that say things like opening reasonably will ensure that we don’t fill the ICU beds.
Who do you think Trump is listening to? The Media likes Fauci because he comes across as “educated and intelligent.” He is what their Ivy League colleagues tell them what a Doctor should sound like.

Dr. Robert R. Redfield of the Centers for Disease Control largely echoed Dr. Anthony Faucci, but he added that America could emerge from the pandemic if we continued the economic shutdown and social distancing as dictated by the medical experts because we are “Stronger Together.”
This was Hillary Rodham Clinton’s 2016 campaign slogan. It caused not a titter.
Imagine the outrage if Redfield called upon us to “Make America Great Again.”

Look, Fauci is Deep State but he makes no policy, rules or orders whatsoever and economic questions have nothing to do with him.
People are improperly using him as a shield for politicians.
Fauci advises on public health.
Politicians are the ones closing and opening parts of the country.
Asking Fauci about the economy would be as useless as asking an economist about how to handle hospitalizations for CV-19.
I’ll go a step further, and say that each of the politicians’ favorite constituents are implementing or rebelling against precautions like hygiene, masks and avoidance of crowding and loitering.
Can’t open what doesn’t exist anymore. What’s Inslee going to do when there’s no businesses anymore, people don’t have money to buy anything but food and a bit of gas to get to market? He has totally trashed the state even if he opens it up totally.
Like I said before, I want to show de blasio and cuomo my nice new haircut.
It’s a shame when haircuts and dining and gambling and other things have to go underground.

When polling showed the Dems losing drastically this November due to the tireless Resist crap and impeachment, the virus hoax was the hail mary.

Fauci wasn't asked but he wanted to respond to Rand Paul's closing comments.
Early in the hearing, Warren wound out her questioning of Fauci by trashing Trump and the task force. Fauci sat quietly and then didn't ask to respond.
President Trump, or any good leader, needs to have all opinions to listen to.
Most doctors are going to take trashing the economy over even losing one life that wouldn’t have been lost otherwise; the President has to take into account the lives potentially lost in the oncoming depression. Just as with hundreds of other cases, we could have fewer deaths, but at what cost? If we had a nation-wide speed limit of 25mph, fewer people would die in accidents, but we pay the price. The difference is that stuff like auto accidents can be analyzed and dialed in over years, this virus response is a one shot deal.
That’s fine but here in MA you’re not allowed to go anywhere without your mask. There’s a guard at the entrance to our supermarket.
We have a boat and we were just sent our new rules and regulations for the summer. Masks at all times, no helping another boater, only 2 people on the boat and they must be from the same household, no sitting in chairs on the dock and yada,yada, yada. This state has gone fn nuts!
That state is insane! OK, somebody may catch a case of the sniffles, but it isn’t like aliens landed and they declared martial law. Eff ‘em. If they posted a guard at the supermarket, find another supermarket. Vote with your wallet and make ‘em bleed.
