US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has condemned a militant attack on a maternity ward in Kabul, Afghanistan.
Two babies and 12 mothers and nurses were killed when several gunmen stormed the hospital on Tuesday morning.
Meanwhile, in the eastern province of Nangarhar, a bombing at a funeral killed at least 26 people.
Mr Pompeo said: "Any attack on innocents is unforgiveable, but to attack infants and women in labour... is an act of sheer evil."

Really brave Afghani warriors - Taliban, Al Qaeda, Pak Taliban, local warloads, etc.
We should start to use some heavy hardware on Taliban areas - nuke a few and make them uninhabitable. Just level the areas. Some messages have to be delivered in spades. Forgot about collateral damage.
This hospital massacre deserves to be avenged bit time.

Apparently infants, mothers and nurses werent included in the agreement either.
They used Monty Python as an instructional video.
But we are stupid for still being there. If Alexander the Great, the U.K., the USSR, etc. can't do anything there, then we are on a fool's errand.
It's been almost 20 years. Isn't that enough?
More smoking shoes are in order Mr President!
Two questions
1. Are we still there?
2. Why?
I read this, and was reminded of the end of the Star Trek DS9 episode I watched just yesterday evening:
Captain Sisko: “You know, old man, sometimes life seems so complicated. Nothing is truly good or truly evil. Everything seems to be a shade of gray. And then you spend some time with a man like Dukat, and you realize that there is such a thing as truly evil.”
We aren’t there because our foreign policy is stupid.
We are there because war is profitable for the right people.
I am not for the perpetual parade of wars, entanglements, quagmires, and clusterf**** that have killed, maimed, and destroyed the mental/physical health of thousands of our servicemembers, destroyed families, and countries.
Since Lockheed-Martin just got a 6.2 billion Gov’t contract, guess we are gonna keep playing the same old tune.

You look like a fool, and annoy the hell out of the pig.
Pull everyone out of that shiitehole country and let them kill each other. It was a mistake going in, and it still is.
