I’ve been wondering if they are putting all their eggs into the ‘taking the Senate and keeping the House basket’.
That way they can impeach Trump again and maybe, just maybe, have enough never-Trump-ERs and Dems to remove him from office. Then they only have to contend with Pence, who seems to be a bit ‘go along to get along’.
Maybe this was just a case of mangled grammar, and she meant to say that they need the convention in order to make the nomination of Biden official?

Exactly. Before the virus hit they knew trump would steamroll whoever they put up there. Always said Biden is this elections Bob Dole for the dems.
I have always felt the Biden was just a holding mark till they could figure out who they want to run against Trump. Who will be Mighty Mouse to come and save the day? Cuomo has stepped on his chances with the funeral home massacres. Sander has no chance. Moochelle?? Killery?? BJ Harris?? Aunt Jemima?? Buttiplug?? My favorite is Little surfer girl Tulsi??
Somebody’s feeling the heat. The Dems who have already had their vote will find out that it doesn’t matter, or if they’re going to let the rest have a primary they’ll have to move pretty fast to set them up. Not to mention it’s the Dem Guv’nahs who are proposing extending the lockdown into September. If the same people set up a virtual convention who set up Gropin’ Joe’s virtual rally no one may ever actually know if it goes off.
Biden “blows up” in October.
Press insists that it’s not a legitimate election if there’s no Democrat on the ticket.
Hellary is wheeled out at the last legally possible minute.
Rerun 2016 without her ever having to be exposed to the public in a campaign situation.

Since when do democrats play by the rules.... hell... they make up as they go... and no one holds them to the original established rules.
1. Hillary has been in the wings waiting from the beginning - it was planned this way.2. Joe was only a placeholder with name recognition.
3. He was never intended to match up against Trump.
4. Many of the other extreme candidates were paid to run, in order to make Joe look moderate.
5. Joe will be "forced to withdraw for health reasons.
6. Insiders will nominate Hillary and another black woman to run.
My 2 cents and I'm sticking with it.
Biden is the 2020 sacrificial lamb. Why sacrifice a top dem contender that will lose. The dems know Trump is unbeatable and they will hound him all through his next four years. They will be focused on 2024.

I would add Michelle Obama. Many on The Left, still, wanted her to run for ‘20 POTUS, believing that it’s “her turn” as well as, in a way, a third term for Barack Obama. This move would of created additional excitement for The Left, going into the ‘20 U.S. general election.
As you can tell from the Blue state shutdowns by Dem governors.
