I actually don’t have a problem with this, as doing otherwise could set a precedent that would be followed by every incoming Democrat administration—investigate and indict their predecessors. I do, however, think that everybody else involved, no matter how far up or down the foodchain, needs to swing for this.

You're probably right, but if the evidence points to his "collusion", a retroactive impeachment might be in order...

Doesn’t mean that they might have Obama and Biden on other crimes - drugs, human trafficking, money laundering, etc.

That, and there is no point to Barr entertaining the notion of an investigation into Biden and Obama until lower level people are indicted, start talking, and the great unbrained in our society realize there is no way the two of them could not be involved.

Biden will pass away, literally.

If the only thing that happens to Obama is that he loses his reputation and has to spend his remaining days in some awful 3rd world sh*thole that does not have an extradition treaty for fear that an investigation of him will be opened, so be it.

That is pretty much what Barr said. People need to listen to him directly before they comment based on emotion, spin from whatever media outlet prints it, etc.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cA05goPVhTk

Go to the 35 minute mark.

He called it all a HOAX - in no uncertain terms.

He GUTTED the actions of the DOJ and the Special Counsel investigation.

He said there is an ongoing criminal investigation.

He pretty much said he is determined to break the cycle of a dual system of justice.

These were pretty strong comments. Will they satisfy those who had some fantasy that Obama and Biden would be charged with crimes? No.

Based on his very direct comments, it will be difficult to accuse him of being a partisan and that is important. Anything less would be the typical left vs right.

He pretty much said the whole thing was BS. History will be the judge of Obama/Biden and if you listen to his comments it is pretty clear he says what many of us have been screaming for years - there was a dual system of justice based on partisan goals.

I don’t see a lot of wiggle room for the media (already on thin ice with this farce) to spin his comments.

Pretty much. For 325 million people in the US (minus 2), ordering the droning a US citizen in some foreign land would and should be be murder.

For the president and VP, not so much. They couldn't defend the country. I think the Supreme Court would take that position. The remedy would be impeachment, and for Obama and Biden, that horse left the barn 3 1/2 year ago.

Their minions are another matter. "I was only following orders" has been out as a defense since 1945.

Make an example of a bunch of these underlings, Comey, Tapper, Brennan, etc. etc and it will help prevent other people in the future from doing it again. If they know it will be their ass that goes to jail they won’t do this crap in the first place.

Actually, I have a problem with it. They break the law for political spying while in office, with the full force and might of the US government, then they HANG.

The democrats have MY BLESSINGS to do it back to any Republican who does the same misuse of Federal Government.

Federal Government is supposed to belong to the people

Nope. What you are doing is setting the precedent that a president can break laws and never have to answer to justice.

Where do you think that will lead? Appeasement never works.

Nobody should be above the law. Especially the most powerful person in the country.

We have a problem far more serious than whatever crimes top Obama officials committed during an eight year period.

Namely, the brainwashing of the American people by a subverted media and academia. The political Left has turned our institutions of learning and mass communication into its own propaganda ministry - these institutions no longer serves as the people’s watchdog over potential government tyranny - they have become instruments of that tyranny.

The fact that these Obama coconspirators have escaped prison is an injustice, but not nearly as grave an injustice as the fact that they have escaped all media scrutiny. They haven’t even been asked a single tough question.

I’d love to see Democrats go to jail, but I think we have bigger fish to fry.

Well said.

After a well crafted lead up, Trump should ... for the ‘’good of the country’’ ... pardon Obama.

For those that can, think about it.

President Trump has no choice but to pursue every single one of them.

Once he is out of office, they will come after him, his wife, his kids, his entire family.

He knows this. He has to utterly destroy them now.

Yes I agree, it’s to protect the office of the POTUS, but it remains to be seen if Barr will indict anyone at all which I highly doubt. I really do not trust that guy at all.
