You make a good point above. I fear the same has already happened with #Spygate or #Obamagate and we are going to hear lots of witnesses in the Senate plead the 5th due to the ongoing criminal investigation by Durham. If the results of the investigation or the “Durham Report” as it is being referred to (no real precedent for such a thing) continue to be pushed beyond the election in November we will know conclusively that the fix is in just like the special counsel’s investigation.
Mueller could have had a preliminary report that they found nothing a year prior to the 2018 election, but he chose not to do so as the investigation continued to damage the President and the GOP. Will Durham/Barr do the same thing by not following up on Barr’s harsh language with a preliminary report/action or will they too hide behind the “ongoing investigation” and the pending election. We are going to find out.
Exhibit A - Lindsey Graham has repeatedly promised to get to the “bottom of it all” for years and he has done nothing. Now, after we all know there is a criminal investigation, he finally schedules his hearings. Convenient or deliberate?
I think it is deliberate. Any witness with a breathing attorney is going to plead the 5th because of the Durham investigation. We will get lots of “I have nothing to hide, but on the advice of my counsel in response to this partisan witchhunt against President Obama, I am forced to plead the 5th.”
The main stream media keeps insisting that there was no evidence of wrong doing by Joe Biden on Ukraine during the impeachment of Trump even though there was a video of Joe Biden bragging about withholding $1 billion from Ukraine until that prosecutor was fired. I’m still waiting for Joe Biden to be officially indicted on the charge of pressuing the prosecutor to be filed rather than just some unnamed American.
