I don’t see why this stuff doesn’t fall under the Fifth Amendment. They are just taking control of the business from the business owner with no compensation. The government is choosing which businesses it allows to open and which it closes. No equal protection.

I think its worse than that, IMHO These gym owners were singled out for their defiance. I've seen this done by Lefties before-deciding to punish those who dared to stand up.

On a smaller scale, bullies like that usually stopped when they got their a**es kicked good and hard.

I can make the same argument regarding:

Gun
Zoning/Planning
Property Taxes
Abortion

That all government, state local federal violate daily and nobody cares, heck some on here make excuses for it

It is a matter of State police power. The police power was reserved by the People, not given to the Federal government, and has been given to the State governments.
