I hope he’s as badass as Grenell.

He was one of the super stars in the House and very pro Trump and he had YUGE gonads bucking the mediocre house leadership.

I just hope that the position doesn't cause him to soften as often happens when one comes in direct contact with the swamp.

Expect to see many more documents declassified in the very near future. Lots of very nervous people in the DNI organization.

“ How did Pierre Delecto vote?”

It was a party line vote so I’m assuming he either didn’t show up or voted as a Democrat.

Sounds like this is a paradox, but if this was a normal Trump appointee, Senate confirmation process would have been long and drawn out, but they moved fast on this one and I believe it is because Grenell was inflicting so much pain all over Washington with the declassification that they needed relief. The relief will come from the transition period when Radcliff will need time to find the DNI’s staples and washroom. Not sure if the purpose of Grenell was to help get Radcliff approved quickly or not (maybe some Trump 3D Chess?), but that is what got him a quick senate confirmation.

Yep.

I’m not gay or anything. But damn...Grenell was kind of making me hot with the way he was doing his job.

“The DNI’s role is crucial to our national security, and I look forward to working with Director Ratcliffe as he oversees the efforts of our nation’s 17 intelligence agencies," acting Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Marco Rubio, R-Fla., said in a statement Thursday. "In a time when the threats to our nation are many and varied, it is critical to have a Senate-confirmed DNI ensuring the wide array of intelligence agencies are sharing information across lines, coordinating capabilities, and working in the furtherance of our nation’s security using 21st century, cutting edge capabilities."

Rubio added: "Director Ratcliffe understands this responsibility, and I am confident that he will fulfill all of the roles assigned to the DNI with integrity.”

Sounds more like a job description than an endorsement.

Sniveling Little Marco is a snake. I trust him just a little more than Mitt Romney.

I hope I’m wrong but this sure looks like a Quid Pro Quo. Ratcliffe fast tracked for a fake fisa reform bill signed by POTUS. He needs to veto that garbage.

I’m guessing the sudden and rapid confirmation of Ratcliffe is related to the stinking pile of garbage fisa “reform” bill that just passed the Senate. Hope I’m wrong and POTUS vetos it. But if he signs it will will know what the horse trade was.

“I understand frustration with Wray. But I see a bunch of FBI arrests in colleges across the country. Could it be that he is focusing on the Chinese”.

I had no idea about arrests. Are they arresting Chinese students?

Anyone else remember that John Ratcliffe was nominated earlier, but was withdrawn because Senator Richard Burr opposed his nomination?

In the end, it turned out pretty well because Ratcliffe was a superstar in the impeachment hearings.

Dan Coats was an active member of the Deep State trying to out Trump. Ratcliffe will be cleaning out the corruption in the office of the DNI in short order.

Ratcliffe, R-Texas, pledged to senators that he’d deliver intelligence information without bias if confirmed for the job.

Here what I would add to this pledge:

"I promise to only be biased in favor of the United States of America. I will fight and die for her. If any political party tries to stab her in the back like a certain party has these past few years, I will certainly be biased to THEM!"

{Thunderous roaring, shouting, fist pumping from the GOP side of the aisle; hissing and catcalling, middle finger gestures from the donkey side.}

He better continue with the sunshine that Grenell has provided.

Yes. I admit I will miss him in the House, though. He has been excellent on all of his Committees.
