President Donald Trump spoke briefly at the White House Friday and called for state governors to allow for churches and other places of worship to reopen to the public.
Trump says he considers houses of worship “essential” and wants them to reopen this weekend.

What I want to know is when these ridiculous masks and distancing will stop.
I’m predicting Trump will proclaim that on Independence Day, nobody will be forced to wear masks anywhere or social distance unless it is their personal preference. He will also make it simple for anyone to obtain the HCQ/zinc treatment for anyone that tests positive and wants it.
And the way Trump phrased his statement indicates that he *might* consider using the NDPA to declare them an essential business.
A threat he could use against recalcitrant Governors for almost anything.
I heard a local Republican congressman, Mike Kelly, on the radio yesterday. He caught the Wuhan virus, took the HCQ cocktail and recovered fully. And he’s 72.

Hear that, governors who will only let 10 or 25 people in a church at one time — or won’t even open them at all.
So that on a monthly basis is more then COVID-19 has killed in the USA.

Pres. Trump is clearly a divine answer to the prayers of millions of Americans. Like Monica praying for St. Augustine’s conversion, there are still millions who didn’t give up on America. I hate to admit it, but I did. Until Trump came along I figured the best we could get was a Bush.
What an unbelievable time to witness history, horrible things of course, but at least we have a fighting chance and like a good leader, he has energized us. If that man needed something from us, millions would mobilize immediately.

Right question is, does any governor/mayor have the constitutional authority to deny the freedom of religion, close churches, arrest peope, jail them and fine them just for going to church, exactly like Lenin and Stalin did? Nope.
What de Blasio, Cuomo, Whitmer, Murphy, Wolf, Garcetti, et al are doing is not only unconstitutional, they should be hauled off in chains for that.
The Justice Department has already started bringing lawsuits against some of these tyrants. There will be more.

So Trump trots an expert out there (Dr. Birx) with a detailed set of data explaining why it’s safe to reopen.
And they reject it on delivery.

DoJ can directly intervene with their own lawsuits in support of the 1st Amendment and already have in several cases ...
Michigan would be a good battleground to enforce this on. Provide military support if needed.
Under the National Defense Production Act, a duly enacted Federal law that has been on the books for nearly 70 years, Trump can designate any business in the country as essential and order that it remain open.
Churches are typically corporations from a legal standpoint.
He can absolutely do this.
Democrats don’t like it they can bitch at the 81st. Congress which passed it.
...and within minutes of Trump doing this a story hits the wires that “sources” say Gov. Wolf will be lifting his stay at home order by June 5.
