There is no doubt we overreacted now that we know the virus is nowhere as deadly as the WHO first said it was. Trump was asked the other day that if there is a flare-up in the fall, will we shut down again? He adamantly said no more shutdowns and that we would put out the fires as they emerge. Trump knows he has been played.
In all fairness to Trump, he really had no choice given what was happening in China and Italy. He would have been crucified if he tried to ride it out and you know that Fauci would have been leaking to the MSM and the Dems that Trump was not following professional medical advice. Trump is now more vocal about opening up and encouraging people to protest. DOJ is also cracking down on civil liberties abuse by blue state governors.

Agree the Donald knew that to not put measures in the MSM would have had an opening to destroy him Re any death. Due to Covid or otherwise health related
His shift to private sector solutions his way of getting govt out of the way.
He had to go along with Fauci/Birx while maintaining his own view. E.g. currently available medications his way of signaling I am looking at speed and proven fixes instead of bureaucracy.
Not to mention the fact that the hospitals are seriously skewing the statistics by "cooking the books" for the BIG Taxpayer Buck$! associated with reported Bat-flu deaths.

True..... "Trump knows he has been played."
It's tough for the good fine fellow Donald to get everything right all the time without good solid friends TO WHOM HE IS WILLING TO LISTEN.
But he's not perfect, and I don't see ANYONE in his life able to keep him straight. And so far, it's difficult to see anyone to whom he will listen.
It's on the simple little things where he fails.
But, he fails only because he cannot find it in himself to step back quietly and tell everyone that he could or should have said something in a kinder or more appropriate way at times. If he could do that ... he'd be a winner nearly always.
Simply ................ Donald J. Trump needs me. (I'll work for free..... and he will secure the Presidency in 2020).
Without me, or someone of similar content, he's looking like someone trying to hit a Sandy Koufax curveball ... down and in.
