Doesn’t really matter....way too many Hierachs and clergy have convinced their congregants that they should not open for in=person services until it is “safe”—which some are even defining as a having a reliable vaccine!

(But more likely having a DemoCRAP in the White House)

It’s very sad, but a lot of the more “organized” churches - Catholic, Episcopalian, major Protestant denominations - have rushed to close their churches or at least make access more difficult, even before government orders in some cases. And on a local level, some pastors and leaders have even exceeded their state restrictions. They’re just trying to show what good little minions of the state they are.

The CA folks have got to appeal to the SC or perhaps sue At a federal level. I even think, despite the actions of individual bishops or local church authorities, any such suit might be joined by the big churches themselves at a national level.

Trump has already given his support and practically invited such suits, and the DOJ has already issued warnings about the treatment of the churches.

I read this morning that Lori Lightfoot had her Chicago police goons pounding on the doors of a mostly black Baptist Church there and shouting through loudspeakers at them to desist and come out. It must have been terrifying but the pastor and congregation hung in there (fortunately, the police stopped short of breaking down the doors and throwing flash-bangs) and are now filing suit.
