Nunes says Mueller should have shut down his investigation right away, arguing that the former FBI director knew from the day he became special counsel in May 2017 that there was no coordination between the Trump campaign and the Kremlin.
I heard trumps chief attorney Jay Sekulow ( who is incredible by the way ) completely eviscerating Mueller the other day saying “where was Robert Mueller? “ Repeatedly over and over
this guy was the head of that stupid special counsel crap. and I don’t care if he tries to say “ oh I didn’t really know what was going on “

surely having this investigation ongoing must have hurt Republicans. it certainy cost them the House, which then allowed the Dems to continue post-Mueller with Ukraine/impeachment, etc.

Mueller seemed befuddled and confused. He was brought out of pasture to act as a figurehead for this attempted coup.

Whenever I see the name Devin Nunes, I usually just skip that article. The many investigations he is tied to never seem to reach any conclusion.
Without Devin Nunes I doubt we would know about the FISA court abuses by the FBI. It can be argued that his courage and tireless work may have saved Trump’s presidency. He is a hero in my book and I would guess that President Trump thinks so as well.
AMEN to that!
When we lost the majority in the House, Nunes’ options were slim. He’s not the bad guy here.

He seems to be more effective since his former sidekick Gowdy retired. Gowdy gave cover to Mueller and Rosenweasel and famously said that if the President was innocent he should “act like it”.
How are Republicans expanding any investigation? They’re the minority party.
