Philadelphia police broke up a Memorial Day party in the city’s Brewerytown neighborhood that attracted hundreds of young people, none wearing masks. “Traffic could not get by, even pedestrian traffic walking on the sidewalks could not get by,” Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small said.
Videos posted on social media captured the crowd, estimated to be as large as 250 people, gathered near the intersection of 28th Street and Cecil B. Moore Avenue.
“Turns out the crowd was there listening to a DJ playing some music and because of social media, the crowds grew really large and very rapidly,” Small said.

Funny how cops didn’t care when antifa creeps were blocking traffic.
If you can’t party in Brewerytown then you can’t party anywhere!
Really kinda sad that Don Knotts is not around to do a parody routine of a cop trying to enforce social distancing.
I can see him pulling the tape measure from his shirt pocket and firing up that squeaky voice right now.
What was “wild” about the party?

We know what that means.
As a result, “The Experts” and a few tyrannical politicians are demanding that anyone who attended the party should “be socially responsible” and self-quarantined themselves for the next two weeks. Yeah, right!
I remember when Brewerytown was way past its beer making days and total ghetto and now it is a decent section to have a good time. If you can put up with Hipsters and other urbans it's all good.
I was at a Colorado bar and grill just yesterday, PACKED to capacity with no one wearing masks - not even the staff. The local police showed up, smiled and chatted with customers, and left. This experience and many other similar stories tells me the people are in charge now.
How about they use the vaunted “contact” tracing — so if Jamal was hot and he told the doc that he met up with Kareem and Trayvon at the party, then the doc could tell the health department, who would then call Kareem and Trayvon and ask them to self-quarantine. Isn’t that how it’s supposed to be done?
But...but, their freedom to violate other people’s neighborhoods is being violated!
You make the valid point that now quarantining has become far more contagious than the Chinese virus could ever be!
It’s like Funkytown. It was great in the ‘70s but it’s gone way down hill. ;-)
